Really looking forward to the Foo Fighters.   In this day their is way too much shitty, mass produced pop that lacks any sort of soul or creativity.
The Foo Fighters are the last of a dying breed.  Justin Beiber and the Disney Pop sh*t sucks. It lacks soul and is mass produced to sell to tweenie girls.

      God I miss good music.

Don't give up faith. There's still good music being made, just not necessarily in the mainstream.

Very slightly off topic because it's not really a 'must have' but some of you may remember the trouble I had getting hold of 'The Brightside' by Break Even. I'd seen them live and accidentally ordered the LP instead of the CD.
Well for the record, it's a pretty damn good album. The production is dodgy and you can tell they're just starting out but I'm tipping them to do pretty well. Touring Australia in support of Sick of it All won't hurt their case either.

PS - Thanks to Frizzby5 for helping me track down a copy.

Really? I like it so much, not perfect, but I think fans were expecting too much and built it up to be something it could never be.

So if you don't expect much you won't be disappointed?

 No, expecting too much in terms of it being comparable to the first album would leave you disappointed, which was why I kept an open mind and expected something different, which it is.

A fake twitter account revealed fake dates of a Noel Gallagher album coming out in September today. But there are strong rumours he will release one this year.

And that's why I am gagging for a Noel Gallagher album! It is going to be stunning! If you're someone like me who preferred Noel as a singer in Oasis (aside from the fact he is a genius songwriter) then you will be mad for this one!

I have to say that with all the new music I've heard I can't pinpoint one that's really satisfied.

I should have posted this a while back but. ...The King Blues - 'Punk and Poetry' - Excellent ....just F***ing excellent. It's short at only 30mins, it's anything but sweet and it's hard hitting; this has to be my favourite album of the year already.

Jonny Fox's lyrics are, as usual immense (there's no-one better at the moment) ..."your granddad didn’t vote for fascists, he shot them" - 'Shooting Fascists' and the melodies are intense and varied; from hardcore punk to pop punk via ska and reggae it's all there.

What a journey - What an album ..... 10/10

I gave that a listen to, on your recommendation, Ross.

Not for me i'm afraid but beauty is in the ear of the beholder - that's what makes music so varied and accessible to everyone and I can see this going down well at some Summer festivals. ...
