Never been a Liverpool player or manager who is above criticism obviously. First half wasn't good enough. Not many teams come to Andield and have more possession than us, but Brighton did that today.

A first half like that is always going to get knocked and Slot knew that. He gave it 20 mins second half, then played 4 up top, so the message from him was similar to what the fans were thinking. Get serious, get some urgency. he admitted they were better than us. But the main point is will Slot accept a first half like that and the answer is no he won't. Neither will the fans.
We moved the ball a tad quicker second half and it was the increase in pace that put Brighton on the back foot. when we play faster, we're better. Mac for me still looks leggy, and it can't be tiredness. Szlob...He's just become so predictable, you can read his passes a mile off.
Endo, considering his lack of game time was very good. Nunez..still an enigma....he needs a goal.

The win and the points were always going to be the most important thing after today's other results.

I would say we've developed a tidy habit of coming back to claim points which will be important for later in the season as well. Hopefully not too reliant on it!

Only Forest in game 4 where we haven't come back and that result doesn't look quite so bad given how well they are doing.

On the Nunez front just wonder if he is curtailing his runs for fear of being caught offside. But sometimes a player like Nunez, getting caught offside is a price worth paying, as he does get the drop on their back 4 often enough. But if the coaches have told him he's getting caught offside too much that could curtail his runs.

He's a handful but hasn't been getting a lot of chances lately, could be trying to stay onside too much. Has to get the balance right.

Agree first half we just off the pace, but the sh*te posted on the first 5 pages of the match forum was nothing short of idiotic. The same depressing fun sucking miserable moaning excuses for liverpool fans, actually had to close the thread and go elsewhere.

It's great rotating for the cup and yes the other team did as well but it threw us off in the first half just dropped our intensity a little to much.

Agree Gomez was class hope he gets a run of games now.

Tbh I was at the game so usually only read from full time onwards.

First game I’ve been to for about 2 and a bit years.

Not a bad one! Anfield was a mad house. Something in the air.

Just got back in after the game.  Brighton are a very good team and this was a really good three points.

No energy in the first half but credit to the lads, and to the Anfield crowd, who really turned up second half and did a great job.  Thought Gakpo was excellent, as was Tsimikas, and Gomez looked solid in that second half too.

A lot of teams will struggle against Brighton this season.  Good win.

We won , we are sat top of the table

You are as bad as the media constantly dismissing the team

Absolutely F**k all wrong in winning ugly, Scumsters did it season after season, and we were f***in ugly as F**k today especially that 1st half, but we kept at it, we never gave up, truth is Brighton deserved something from the game , however they didn’t take advantage when they were on top and that ultimately was their downfall, Kells foot probably saved the day, going two down wasn’t a option,

Glad Arne stuck it out with Gakpo, he deserved that full 94 after recent outings, and Arne has a real dilemma now, thought Nunez was superb again without being flattering, it’s clear Arne has worked with him one to one and it’s starting to reap the benefits, he’s not so gung ho and his work rate is excellent, he ducked under that cross come shot of Cody’s nicely, and what can you say about our Mo, he had one of those average games where not a lot happened for him, his touch was off as was his passing, but with him he only needs one moment, you simply cannot leave this bloke on the bench, ….how valuable will that winner prove to be come May….??

Thought Joe was superb when he came on, and he almost almost got his goal, Konate we hope won’t be out too long, always looks worse than it did, but we’ll see, what we want tho is Jota back asap, and Harvey, but I don’t think we we will until after the next shitty fu**ed up waste of F***ing space pointless international F**k up !! And I’m betting we’re first up at 12.30 KO, Kunts!!

Anyhoo we were proper ugly Muther Fuckers today but these particular Ugly Muther Fuckers sit very proudly at the top of the English Premier f***in league by two clear points over the cheating Muther Fuckers, and we haven’t even been tested yet !!!

TOP OF THE f***in LEAGUE !!!

What a beautiful day! City lose, Arsenal lose and we bagged 3 points to go Top. I'm begging to believe that this could be a magical year for Liverpool. I can't believe how good we're playing. We lose a manager who is a Liverpool Icon and replaced him with someone who has taken what Klopp left behind and has succeeded far beyond what we believed. God....I love this club!
