I kinda feel sorry for the England players, but then, who is the voice within the group, it seems no one had the balls to call out Southgate and point out his negative tactics are not working, I think most will agree they scraped thru to the final, got lucky with the way the draw worked out, and got extremely lucky on more than one occasion during the group stages, aside from the first half Vs the Dutch England for the most part were pretty damn average,
I keep banging the drum regarding Southgate being a FA puppet, and not being permitted to use his initiative in team selection, look at the players he had at his disposal, attacking players that only know one way of playing, Iām looking at the six players from the back line, 7 playing a back three, Rice, Bellingham, Mainoo, Foden, Saka, Palmer, Gordon, Watkins, Toney, Kane, thatās ten players in any combination that suits, you can add Trent to that list too, the best passer England has, and a dead ball specialist, yet, it was a struggle to overcome the weakest X1,
Questions need to be asked and answered why England failed again, especially when you look at the players Southgate had, and the negative impact he had on those players, surely someone in that group would have suggested they change tact, play a different style, be more positive, where the F**k was the passion cos I didnāt see any apart from that first half against the Oranje,
This is supposed to be Englandās Golden era, the best most talented group ever assembled, yet once again it was abject failure, but you cannot blame the players their simply following instructions from Southgate, and he, I believe isnāt managing with the freedom of a club manager who will use tactical knowledge and perhaps know how, with the players he has at his disposal, in short his instructions come from upon high, no manager, in his right mind will have played Harry Kane for 60mins of that final, in the knowledge heās either carrying a injury or he spent after a long hard season, no manager would have played Luke Shaw in such a pivotal match with the knowledge heās not match fit,
No manager would have waited as long to make the changes that was so desperately required, why did he play Rice so deep Spain could fill the midfield and overrun Englandās engine room, why couldnāt he have put Anthony Gordon on to attack their right side, why couldnāt he put Trent on to attack their left side, with Palmer & Watkins up top, thereās plenty of scope there to change the dynamic of that final, except, Southgate stuck to principle, sat back and did F**k all to give England even a sniff of a opportunity to try and win,
No, you canāt blame those players, only one man is responsible for yet another total failure, Southgate, the FAās Yes man & Puppet !!!
Bye Gareth, thanks for coming !!!
