Fergie is a compulsive liar! Whatever he says, is usually bullshit, and this is no exception!

Fergie only wanted Hodgson to have more time so he could bring the club even further down!

Fergie's a F*kwit.  His best pals in the game are those that bring teams to OT then roll over and die for a 7-0 hammering. Then he bleats on about what great managers they are.

      Quote
      Ferguson praises LMA influence
By PA Sport  December 02, 2009

There are a lot of constructive ideas coming from the LMA these days and although it isn't a militant organisation, it does protect the rights of managers more effectively...

Sir Alex Ferguson has warned clubs who think they can get rid of their managers on the cheap they are in for a nasty shock.

As a lifelong believer in unions, and a member of the League Managers' Association management committee, Ferguson has always been at the forefront of managerial issues. Yet, with the increased demands of the current era meaning more club owners adopt a knee-jerk attitude to results, Ferguson has been powerless to prevent managers being sacked, sometimes after only a matter of months in the job.

Ferguson, who pointed out that the LMA has been successful in the last seven compensation cases it has brought to court, told United Review: "There are a lot of constructive ideas coming from the LMA these days and although it isn't a militant organisation, it does protect the rights of managers more effectively."

He added: "Too many clubs have short-changed managers after they had sacked them.

"But with a good barrister behind us ..... clubs who think that delaying tactics could save them money should think again."

Alan Curbishley and Kevin Keegan are just two high-profile figures who have emerged with significant sums from protracted court cases recently.

And Ferguson can see the LMA becoming increasingly proactive within the game as a whole.

"I believe the LMA is making an increasingly important contribution to the development of our game," said Ferguson.

"Under Richard Bevan and Howard Wilkinson the association is putting forward a lot of carefully thought-out proposals that we believe could benefit football.

"   * For many years football was run with a feudal approach that kept the manager in their place and, inevitably, fragmented us as rivals.
Our voice was not heard, or if it was, it wasn't listened to.
I am glad to say things have changed."

In an article that  FScum admits to being on the Management Commitee of the LMA and helping inferior managers keep their job so his little status quo is not threatened.

The feudal system he refers to is exactly his own.

There is an old saying. You always criticize your own biggest failing.

He was recently placed on the record of publicly offering Hodgson the full "support" of the LMA.

You have to say that Fergusons little outburst about standing up to Shrek and player power was hilarious.
"I had to do it" ...he said.

      He didnt though.

Rooney and his agent p**sed all over him!

Let's allow this thread to die. Fergie's words don't have a place on any respectable football website.

He's got as much class as a turd on a trampoline.

I bet his underpants filled up that day he thought Rooney was off.  That team would be nothing without him and lets face it, he knows they wont be buying players for £30m again while the Glazers are there.

There is one answer that everyone who told us that Hodgson was a good manager shies away from and that's when you say ''why not your team take him on if he's that good'' and have you noticed how quiet it goes. Of course others wanted us to have him because then we are not a threat to their team.

Yes esp SAF who said Hodgson wasn't given enough time. SAF wanted to see Liverpool go down.

The sad thing about this thread is Hodgson should never have had a chance to be manager of Liverpool Football Club. The old saying about a square peg in a round hole is never more appropriate. If Ferguson thinks that highly of Roy he should appoint him assistant manager at United. (fat chance of that happening)

Everyone who keeps suggesting Roy Hodgson was the right man or was never given time have obviously never seen Liverpool play or watch his interviews.

      Nice post.

I think Roy was/is a great manager he just never stood a chance at liverpool.

      Oh holy F**k.  :lmao:

Looking at the many, measurable, facts - He wasn't, isn't and never will be anything more than mediocre (at best). He should never have got a chance at Liverpool.

He's gone tho' so it really is time to move on. To F**k with Ferguson, the sh*te he spouts and the horse he rode in on.  >:D

Here's a question (particularly for Manure fans)  :- Would Slur Alex / you think Woy is good enough to replace him ?

If the answer (which I suspect is) No, then it shows that John and Tom were right to let him go.

If the answer is yes, then there are all a bunch of deluded idiots, and they can hire him now and see how he pwogwesses

He had more time than Kenny but with less effect. He he lost matches and moved in the direction we were moving now he would still be in charge and have our backing.
