Steve Clarke leaves Liverpool FC

Good for him! It might be a nice fit too -- they play a defensive style, and he's accomplished at that so there might be only a slight transition. Hopefully he can get a couple of decent transfers in to help out. Congrats.

Had such a great impact on the defence. Definitely one of the great coaches out there and to be honest we were blessed to have him. Was Kenny's first move as manager and an absolutely fine move it was. Hope he goes to West Brom as manager and succeeds.

Did a great job for us with Agger & Skertel.

I'm disappointed to see Clarke go. He did some absolute wonders for our defense, and he's a great coach. No doubt about that. Wishing him all the best in whatever he does next.

As for Kevin Keen, I never really understood what his role or specialty was on the coaching staff. I don't know if it's a loss to the club or not haha

Glad he's been given a shot at the hotseat, he's certainly done his time in Assistant Manager roles.

I always thought of him as back room, very unassuming and never seemed to want the spotlight. Obviously being at Anfield raises ones expectations and aspirations.

Did a great job for us with Agger & Skertel.

Personally, I think we owe more to Rafa for the formidable Skrtel/Agger partnership than to Steve Clark....  He was always looking to them as the CB pairing that would last for several years, and we are just now seeing how good they actually are together.  Granted, Clarke had some input into this by helping to coach them, but Rafa is the reason we have two of the best CB's in the world currently playing for LFC.
