Must confess i know nothing about Steve,but if he gets the job done and Kenny wanted him personally then it must be good for the club ..welcome Steve !

I think he is an excellant appointment to be honest, well thought of in the game by players and managers. Mourinho is very complimentary about him

I've even heard some Manc's say this is a good appointment.

Great appointment for the Club. As said welcome to a proper Club Steve. Think it's time for Sammy Lee to step down and Thommo or Rush to come in instead.

Some Chelsea fans saying he is as good tactically as Mourinho, someone posted that on Rawk. Is meant to be very good mates with Boas or maybe NESV are laying the ground work for Mourinho coming in the Summer

Well in Kenny great appointment

Think this is shrewd, he's been around big players and ego's no more so that with the likes of Drogba etc whereas if one thing thats changed since Kenny's been out of management its maybe players attitudes with the ridiculous wages and power they now have.

Although Kenny has excellent man management skills having Clark will only help, and he's a top well respected coach too so all good as far as Im concerned.

Although unexpected I think this is excellent appointment.

Well respected coach who has been involved in title winning squads and might be good to have someone not from a Liverpool back ground in an important position ok the coaching  staff to give a slightly different perspective.

Agreed big time, the KING has not just pulled his name out of a hat he will have done his homework on him and sounded out many people about him.
Hes fairly young and I can see Kenny trying to build a team of backroom staff for the long term.
Probably what he wanted to do back in 91 before he left prematurely.

So Kenny and Steve have both won the Premier League. . . Surely that experience in the Boot Room can only be a good thing. Still love how he was called last night and was up in the morning. I have images of him parked at a service station in Sandbach for a quick kip before driving the last half hour in.

just heard the coach of stevenage say training session from 10 to 5pm . no wonder those guys beat newcastle. they have endurance and running like greyhounds. hope steve can concentrate on fitness when u see the reds  only playing 60 minutes you wonder what the fitness level of players is

West Ham paid 1m pounds for Clarke and battled for 2 weeks to get him and Chelsea didn't want him to go. So he must have something about him.
