Less than a month away, what are your predictions.
Lets say for the first 4 semi final spots ? Man of the Series ? Biggest flop and which non-test playing will cause the shock, Kenya, Ireland ... Canada :P may be

      Last four will be;

      England
      India
      Australia
      Pakistan

      England winning of course. ;)

Man of the series will be England (not Ireland's ;)) Eoin Morgan. Biggest flop, in terms of nations will be South Africa.

And the surprise side will be Ireland.

Pakistan ??? how did you come up with that !!

I think, India, Australia, Sri Lanka, England - South Africa is gonna do what they do best, screw up royally in the WC.
Man of the Series I feel will be Malinga, hes gonna run through teams. agree on the Ireland front.

If the australian bowling line up comes into action they will destroy everyone

      India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England

Man of series: MS Dhoni (though I think he won't be the best performing player, he will get it anyway)

      South Africa to flop

Agree with others, England India Aussies and Sri Lanka to make the top 4.

P.S. Is it just me or is the pre-world cup excitement at an all time low? :-\
      Non-existent I'd say.

Its pretty non-hyped here. Otherwise Cricket in India is generally more important to people than any other thing. :P

Because they always manage to scrape out results and end up doing well in international tournaments. They'll do well, trust me.

You may be right DLS, but I just can't see them ( Pakistan ) going beyond QFs. They've got a weak team, and the morale is at an all time low.

Would love South Africa to get to the semis instead of Sri Lanka, though.

I am gutted about the wc cause the England vs India game at the Eden Gardens has been moved to another venue.Always discriminating against us Bengalis. The Maharashtrian c**t Sharad Pawar has allowed Wankhede to host matches although it is at a much worse shape then The Eden Gardens.

Stop the regionalism here mate. I always liked the atmosphere at Eden Gardens, top class. But its got nothing to with being Bengali/Maharashtrian.

      And ICC made that decision.

I know but I was very angry and i thought it was unfair to allow Wankhede to host matches.I guess it was more of a knee-jerk reaction. Still 3 matches at the Eden to look forward to.

India win the first game of the Cup by 80 odd runs. Sehwag 175 off 149 balls or something like that.

Watched their innings yesterday, smashed Bangladesh all over the place.

I fancy India to get to the final but don't count out Australia.

Good solid win for us yesterday. Sehwag was brilliant and took the plaudits but don't forget Kohli's century either!

Kind of not interested in the games bar England's and India's or the big ones since the tournament is far too long for my liking. Will get exciting at the quarter final stages though.

Sehwag was brilliant when he did his back in and just decided to smash it all over the place until he decided he needed a runner, Kohli's pushing him to run didn't help his back I bet.

But some excellent batting. Missed most of Bangladesh's innings with watching Chelsea v Everton game.

Right chats. Kohli's been a wonderful revelation. Young lad, good confidence, top form.

Tournament is really too long. Quarters don't start till about a month from now. :-\
