Andy Gray and Richard Keys caught in sexism slur during LFC game
      Jan 23, 2011 10:28:27 am
Andy Gray being a f**king twit as usual. I think it was great to see a gal out there, and can only be good for stamping out stereotypes. I'm sure most agree?

Obviously some old fucks like him are still living in his mans world of 'I'm a man, hear me roar!' Disgraceful really that guys as narrow-minded as him carry so much 'respect' it seems, as far as the media goes anyways.

Own goal! Mic captures Sky presenters' sexist diatribe against female linesman - and Apprentice star Karren Brady

Sky Sports presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys were at the centre of a sexism row last night after they questioned whether a female linesman knew the offside rule during a Premier League football match.
The commentators, who apparently believed their microphones were switched off, were recorded making disparaging remarks about Sian Massey, 25, before Liverpool’s Premiership clash with Wolves yesterday.
They also criticised Apprentice star and West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady who had yesterday written about sexism in a newspaper column.

Commenting on Ms Massey, Mr Keys said: ‘Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her.’
Mr Gray, a former Scottish international footballer, replied: ‘Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don’t know the offside rule.’
Mr Keys replied: ‘Course they don’t. I can guarantee you there will be a big one today. Kenny (Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish) will go potty. This isn’t the first time, is it? Didn’t we have one before?’

The Sky presenters made disparaging remarks about assistant referee Sian Massey
Later in the exchange, Mr Keys said: ‘The game’s gone mad. Did you hear charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Do me a favour, love.’
Ms Brady had said she had ‘experienced sexism at its rankest, lies about my personal life and a level of calculated mischief that is simply appalling’.
Asked about the pundits’ remarks, she said: ‘I think this just sums up everything I said in my column.’

During the game, which Liverpool won 3-0, Ms Massey angered Wolves by refusing to rule Raul Meireles offside before he set up Liverpool’s first goal. The replay showed that she made the correct decision.
When The Mail on Sunday put the transcript to Mr Keys, he said: ‘I have no recollection of that. I have no idea what you are talking about.
'My recollection is that I wished the young lady all the best.’
When told a recording existed of the conversation, he said: ‘If you have a tape then you don’t need me to talk to you.’
Last night The Mail on Sunday sent a transcript and a copy of the recording to a Sky Sports spokeswoman.
She was not able to confirm or deny the veracity of the clip, which was provided to this newspaper by an anonymous source.
Mr Gray could not be reached last night.

They're always out to get us no matter what, eh?

And that's just out of order and they probably still use Windows 97. They're looking like dimwits because Ms Massey got the decision right.

I would say thats worth them losing jobs. I really would love to see Gray get the sack! :D I mean if Babel can get a fine just for re-posting a doctored picture - then what should a pair of men who should know much better get for being utter arseholes?

Surprised Andy Gray hasn't tried shagging her yet!!

To be honest it's more the monkey man's comments that would annoy me if I was a female football fan!

I was well impressed to see a woman linesman- love it!

Just goes to show how far football has moved into the 21st century, and Andy Gray is a tw*t!

Come on, hes not the only guy out there who put all women in this category, like not being able to change a tyre, being weak and not having a clue about football.
Going by myself & my fellow women on here- im thinking we know more than he does! Tosser.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd made it sound like they were joking. After all, most women I know don't know the offside rule. However, they just sounded like two bitter old crones. cu*ts.

Female officials are a good thing, IMO. Why could a woman not handle a football match? It's about time people moved on from this prehistoric way of thinking.

I thought the linewoman did good yesterday, got arguably the biggest decision of the match correct.

Completely agree with you MsT, I thought the lady linesperson did a fine job yesterday.  And you're right, we probably do know more than he does and probably more than half the male population that profess to being 'football fans'.  That guy that worked in your place for instance

All present company accepted of course  :D

Unfortunately, in some minds, if you can't piss standing up, you know nothing about football  ;D

She did a good blow job. She got one decision wrong all afternoon I think, when Maxi was called offaide when he actually wasn't. For the goal, I think most linesmen would've given it as offside, but she had the balls tits not to raise the slag flag.

I was very proud as a woman to see the lady official on the pitch.
And she did a good job, therefor she proved those idiots that she's not there to entertain them.
And if you are into football no matter the sex, you know what offside is, and it's about time to leave those stupid prejudice aside or just retire you jerks  >:(

I honestly hope to see more of this and finally knock down those male/female stereotypes and would love to someday see a lady club manager in the PL  :celebrate:
