Cisse injury screwed up our transfers
      Jun 08, 2006 04:55:54 pm
Rafa's comments today confirm it. This will badly affect our transfer plans. I'm pissed off with Parry and the board. We shouldn't have to sell to buy.

For me it probably means this; No daniel alves and instead, a big push for Victor from Depor who is on a free transfer.

We thought we could get Alves for £8m and we were gonna sell Djib for £8m so they cancel each other out. My worry is that this will finish Djib's career and we will be paying him for the rest of his contract to sit in the stands.

its said that he will be out for the rest of the year at least
but rafa still expects to sign alves very soon, have to sit tight and
        wait and see.

Yes that is true but he'll be gone , say that happened and we got 3mil
for him , then we could go out and buy some good youth player.

No Lance defo not . In this morning's Post , it says that Kuyt is Rafa's
1st choice but may have to go for Bellamy as he has a clause in his contract for a 6mil transfer release and is a boyhood LFC fan :D

I don't think anyone really knows whats available to spend, we're all speculating, but at the end of the day its up to Parry to dish it out and i'm sure Rafa knows whats available and has got things in place a long time ago.  The only difference is we might be 6/8mill short through Djbrittle but a big club like LFC should only have to make minor adjustments to accomodate that kind of loss.  Just heard on the radio that it looks like Didi Hammann is off to Bolton on a free, i'll miss him greatly.  Anyway hope all you lot at MerseyRail are not working to hard enjoy your day !!

On the Liverpool page [Sky Sports News] it says that Marseille are still interested in signing Djibril, despite his broken leg. The president - Papa Diouf - is coming over to talk about Cisse.

So don't rule out selling him just yet.

The only problem is that they want to take him on a year long loan so when we do eventually sell him we will be lucky to get 4m,but at least he will be off the wage bill and hopefully make room for a world class forward
