What the hell is goin on!!!!!!!!!
First off, have to say, gutted to see Torres leave. Seeing that guy in the red jersey was special, even when he wasn't playin great. A class player. Not in the best of form last while, but still sticking important goals away. Can't see how selling him is a good idea - but in saying that, was more gutted that he handed in a transfer request. Once that happened, writing was on the wall. Can't be angry with Nando though, just sad to see him go
But just cause we have a few bob in the pocket, doesn't mean we HAVE to spend it. And cannot believe that ANY club, never mind ours, would think Andy Carroll, a wet weekend in the PL with 14 goals, is worth 35Million!!!! Don't think anyone can believe it. We have Suarez coming in, plus Adam (?), maybe add an attacking winger like Young or someone like that, and wait until the end of the season to get a quality striker at a decent price. It seems a unbelievable gamble on an unproven young player.
And more to the point, I don't particularly want to see us lumpin long feckin balls up to a big target man. Know he can play a bit but just don't like the idea. Is it what Kenny wants? Who is pushing the signing, Camolli? I dunno. Maybe it'll work out. But it's a hell of alot of mula.
