On reflection the "...big club..." comments on Chelsea TV were like a fu#king pneumatic drill in the gonads at the time!

I think it was that interview more than anything that lit the fuse to the fans anger.

I think the majority could handle him moving for £50 million, but that interview felt like he was spitting in the fans faces.

he left because he didn't think this club was going anywhere 3 years on who is right and who is wrong?

      Agree.

Torres had more genuine feeling for Liverpool than Suarez has ever had.

Would have him back if Luis leaves.

So would I, for the right price.

When you read things like this, it makes you realise that compared to Suarez, Torres left in the right way.

Suarez plans to beat that, he's going to take a piece of flesh from every employee before he leaves.

Pretty sad state for Luis that he's starting to edge ahead of Torres and he hasn't even left yet. I was more hurt when Torres left than mad and I still can't bring myself to despise him. If he could reproduce his old form (probably past it now) I'd be all for him coming back, can't lie.

Still hurting at Torres leaving and now that pain is becoming more as Luis is about to leave.

F**k me, two of the best Strikers to pull on OUR Red Shirt in years desserted(ing) the Club. Once you play for us, I don't give a F**k what any one else says, you should do everything in your power to get this Club up the top end of the Table and competing for Championships and Champions League Victories. Once you come here, there should never be any reason to want to leave!

I'm trying to think of a world class player who has fallen as much as Torres has.

I can think only of Gianluigi Lentini - and his excuse was that he nearly died in a crash.

In the full clip, he almost redeems himself, only to give the ball away.

Some paper talk about Maureen being willing to sell Torres in an attempt to lure Monaco's £52m forward Radamel Falcao, he watched him play for Colombia last week; using Torres for bait is dead in the water.
The greatest interest will be seeing how much they lose selling him, if indeed they can without losing too much face.
Wonder if Rafa comes in with a cheeky bid??
Haha that would be poetic justice.

I think BR should, Back up for our two, playing second fiddle to Daniel, now that would be poetic justice.

The thing is,  some players can play a at the top level until 34 and beyond. I get the feeling torres won't.  He will be a 32 year old retirement player. I say that as he isn't really a legend at Chelsea and once chelsea are done with him, he won't adapt into another team the same anywhere near the top level. He is 30 next March.  I doubt he will be any part of a swap deal as it won't make Falcao much cheaper.

Chelsea pay Torres £175,000 per week. There's no club in the world that will match that....or even half of it.

Why do you think the lad is so keen to 'see out his contract'...he'll be at the Chavs until 2016, when I fully expect him to retire.

If he doesn't retire then I fully expect he would go out to somewhere like Qatar and play for mega money there, Sunderland player went there fairly recently if I remember correctly. Same with Eto'o, will follow the money.
