Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.  Maybe we are negotiating this one like we did the Suarez deal and are trying to bring down the price as much as possible. 

Another option could be that we are not really interested in him.  Maybe we are trying to lower the price of a different target by shopping around for alternative options...

Either way, I am confident that Comolli and the King will get the right players in and send the right players out this summer!  IKWT  YNWA

Don't know too much about this bloke, and youtube scouting isn't exactly reliable but off that alone he looks like a very positive attacking player, do we not have any German reds on here who could give us more info.

He can play all across the midfield but the left is his best position, imo.

To be fair, I don't think he'd make it in PL. He's a player of the highest quality nonetheless. Good to see our scouts going after the best players possible.

If he's a player of the highest quality, shouldn't he be able to make it in any league? Logic doesn't make sense there.

This would be a great signing IMHO. Bags of potential and tbh he's got some flipping quick feet on him!!

Please, please, please! I love him. He's like a relentless poodle. So small but he'll fight for you and show up some bigger men.

Excellent balance for a small man and that counters his small size. He has the ability to use his body to shield himself and outdo stronger players. Brilliant dribbler and opens up space easily. Just needs work on his final delivery and his finishing. Still what i consider a raw talent but so brilliant.

#LFC's Ian Ayre in talks with Werder President Klaus-Dieter Schnierl regarding Marko Marin today. #LFC is looking to take advantage over Marin's reluctance to sign a new deal.

Jeremy LFC is very reliable. He's usually spot on with most stuff. Admittedly he doesn't know everything but what he says is usually spot on. I'd trust him.

Liverpool target Marko Marin insists he has no plans to leave Werder Bremen this summer.

Highly-rated Germany international Marin claimed earlier this month Liverpool had expressed an interest in acquiring his services.

Tottenham have also been long-term admirers of Marin with the 22-year-old known as the "German Messi" in his homeland.

Marin, who is under contract at Bremen until 2013, insists he is happy at Bremen and wants to stay at the club next season.

"I have no interest in moving on this summer," Marin told 11Freunde weekly.

"I am able to progress being at Werder Bremen and I like my team-mates there.

"I want to play a good sort of football with Werder Bremen in the new season and I am still under contract at Weserstadion."

Good. Don't want him, I've watched a fair bit of them and he is too inconsistent and far too weak on the ball. Think he'd flop in the premier league.
