I saw an interview Torres saying that a draw would have been a fair result.

Torres doesn't exist anymore, we killed him and his dream yesterday.

This win can lead us to many good things but we just need to forget torres and chelsea and all other to focus on for the following games. otherwise we will always struggle to concentrate in the games against the teams which are in bottom half positions of the table.

Other than that this is Liverpool. so come on... great teams are always great and have less trouble in so called big games.

I can't wait for the manu game. I think we'll have a lot fun in that game:))

Still buzzing. What a performance, you just cant buy pride and passion.

Had a gameplan and stuck to it, some fantastic defending followed by some nice counter attacking football.

I have to admit, i was one of few reds who wanted Dalglish back. Considering hes been out the game for so long and considering the state the club is currently in, I thought it was a massive gamble for him to put his legendary status on the line. The 'die hard' reds will always love Kenny no matter what but there are some fickle football fans out there, some who follow liverpool, and it would be horrible to hear boos if the team were not performing under Dalglish.

However, since Kennys been in the team look fresh, theres more ideas, more energy, more pace, more attacks, more goals, more points, more everything. Its bloody great! Really hope he gets the job full time now, completely proved wrong.

Very exciting times for us at the moment, with Carroll and Suarez coming into the team and rumours of big signings in the summer, this could be a whole new era and a F***ing great one too.

Well played reds and well done kenny, keep it up.

Robbie Savage has something to say...
Liverpool are bigger than Chelsea claims Robbie Savage

Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has said that Liverpool are a bigger club than Chelsea following the Reds 1-0 win in the capital.

After the game between Chelsea and Liverpool had finished, Savage also had a say on Fernando Torres’ performance.

The Welshman tweeted: “Bigger club 1 better team 0. Well done Liverpool !! You are the bigger club!!”

He added: “50mil for Torres does he think he’s playing for Liverpool he looks uninterested in fact he looks jelly legged !! Nervous.”

Interestingly, a couple of the daily papers have KK doing a catenaccio to nullify chelsea, but to be honest, I didn't see it like that.

Catenaccio is more or less just about stopping the opposition with a purely defensive set up, but we did so much more than that, as the 2 wing backs were more concerned with pushing their full backs back rather than just trying to nullify them by giving them no space.

Our midfield was VERY dynamic, and Agger bringing the ball out adds an extra dimension, as long as he stops farting around with it too much at the back.

I was very impressed with the fluidity and movement of the team as a whole, and chelski looked totally bereft of ideas.

It was a very tactical and technical game for the PL, and one which has been viewed as boring by some - personally, I found it fascinating, particularly as we looked to hunt in pairs or even in packs at times, hassling and harrying them into making mistakes.

Best moment of the match was Aurelio being brought on, on the left after Luiz had come on and ivanovich moved to RB, to further nullify any threat down that flank - something we would never have seen under our previous manager, and a masterstroke that left Ancelotti clueless as to what to do next.

What a contrast from last season eh?

Last year, Chelsea were closing in on the title, us after being knocked out of the Europa were deflated and had nothing to play for and Chelsea walked it. People were praising them and Ancelotti and ripping into us saying we had the massive rebuilding job.

This season, after the second game between the two, yes they are higher than us but it's now us that are getting the praise and looking like a top four team again. It's Chelsea who now need the rebuilding. We sold probably our best player to them and still outclassed them. Don't forget the replacements for Torres didn't even play.

      What a crazy, beautiful game.

      Careful.

What you are saying also suggests that it is a fine line between having a winning side and potentially having a side on the slide.

The tables could yet turn again. Let's hope not though as the future looks bright!

      Chelsea 0 - Liverpool 1 Match Report
Seeing a Blue El Nino banner and watching Torres walk to the center spot with a Blue kit instead of Red was a strange sight to so many on Sunday afternoon. Reds fans held up banners saying, "No One is Bigger than the Club," quoting Kenny Dalglish from his press conference earlier in the week.

The Reds former frontman took to the pitch in his Chelsea debut looking to score and truly stick it to his former employers, however this would not be the case.

Chelsea's three prong attack of Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba, and Nicolas Anelka was anything short of toothless. Carlo Ancelotti looks to have one of, if not the most potent front lines in the English Premier League but that was not seen on the day.

Liverpool brought back the same formation as they had used against Stoke City during midweek to earn a 2-0 victory at Anfield. Jaime Carragher returned to bolster the three center backs with Martin Kelly and Glen Johnson returning to their roles as wing-backs to allow greater width in the Reds play.

The Reds kept Chelsea wanting all night long as a resolute Liverpool back line led by Carragher, whom Dalglish praised as a, "New Signing," in his post match press conference. The vice-captain made his presence felt when he slide to block the only true chance Torres would have to sniff at scoring against his old club.

Maxi Rodriguez missed a sitter to put the visitors in the lead during the first half when a brilliantly placed pass from Steven Gerrard came across the face of goal to the Argentine whom put it off the crossbar from about a meter out. It was one that hopefully wouldn't cause eventual heartache as it should have been 0-1 to the Reds.

Chelsea tried to attack and made moves but the majority of their shots were forced to have been taken from outside of the box, aside from Branislav Ivanovic's headers taken from corner kicks awarded to the Blues. The front three just couldnt seem to find a way to open up the defense.

It was a cagey match that seemed to just be back and forth. The first half ended with truly only Maxi's duffed attempt as the best chance on goal for either side. Torres, Drogba, and Anelka had done little to justify any of their price tags, and Kuyt alone up top had worked hard but not helped to create much either.

The second half started on that same note as it took over five minutes for anything of real merit to come together. Drogba and Anelka won several corners trying to get in and test Reina while Torres was hounded by at least two Reds defenders every time he touched the ball.

Ancelloti had seen enough by the 65' minute of the match and a lackluster Torres was withdrawn for Salomon Kalou and pushed Anelka more forward. Post match the Italian claimed Torres needed, "Time to Adjust," but it seems that the World Cup Winner is still just as off of his form in a Blue kit as in a Red one.

Four minutes after his substitution Raul Meireles, the Reds man on form, smashed home a Steven Gerrard cross after making a brilliant 30 meter run from the heart of midfield to give the visitors the lead at the 69' minute. That makes 4 goals in 5 games for the Portuguese and he continues to shine in a central attacking midfield role which he has seen under Dalglish.

The Blues picked up their attack in the last ten minutes of the game as Kenny Dalglish replace Maxi Rodriguez with Fabio Aurelio, and Meireles with Christian Poulsen to help solidify the Liverpool defense as it looked to weather out the coming storm.

Shouts for handball on two separate occasions, and Glen Johnson lucky to get away with a challenge on Ivanovic saw the Blues not have a chance for a penalty to bring them level.

The Reds held off through four minutes of added time, and the additional Manchester United added time that nearly made it five minutes, which Chelsea another attacking chance, to take away there first victory at Stamford Bridge in years.

Luis Suarez remained on the bench for Liverpool as Dalglish elected to let him continue his quest for full fitness on the training ground as his charges once again held for a fourth consecutive victory and a fourth consecutive clean sheet.

Imagine you are seven years old.

You get fed up with your gang and leave them on the Monday to join another gang. Your old friends are upset.

You meet them again on Saturday. The old friends. Youre pleased to see them.

You play a game. Your old gang wins. They pat you on the head. They go home laughing and delirously happy.

Youre left to wallow in self doubt and loneliness.

Well well well!. What can I f**king say?. I am absolutely bouncing, been walking around all day with a huge smile on my face!. Four wins on the bounce and four clean sheets to boot. The impossible has now become possible. To go to the Bridge and completely nullify the trio of Drogba, Anelka and Torres is an achievement in itself, to nullify the whole team was really something else. Did Chelsea choke?, no, we choked them. Kenny and Steve did a great job in setting their stall out and the players did an even better job carrying out the plan. What I've noticed more than anything in the last few weeks is the way Kenny has chosen different formations to tackle different teams, something we didn't see with previous managers.

The 3-5-2 attack come 5-3-2 defence worked seamlessly and Chelsea didn't know how to deal with it. Putting Kelly and Johnson on the flanks to deal with Cole and Bosingwa breaking out proved to be the masterstroke and the most crucial battle on the field. We hardly saw either wing back on the attack and that is a credit to both Johnson and Kelly putting massive shifts in. Kelly is growing in stature, game by game and he really is going to be a powerhouse of a player in a couple of seasons. Johnson, while I don't think he's most happy with where he's been playing, is getting his head down and has improved enormously under the guidance of Kenny.

The back three of Agger, Carra and Skrtel worked really well and full credit goes to Skrtel for at last putting a good shift in after the last few shaky performances. I think a lot of that was to do with the reassuring presence of the legend that is Carragher. What a f**king colossal performance again from the leader of the back, that goal saving block from Torres and the way he outmuscled Drogba on several occasions were testament to his greatness and desire to win at all costs. His presence galvanised the defence, you'd never have thought it was his first game back since November. Agger had a stormer too, kept Torres quiet and dispossessed him on several occasions, frustrating the f**k out of the traitor. This style of football is what Agger loves playing, the instruction to play it on the deck and play it sexy.

Another player I've been impressed with under Kenny is Lucas Leiva. He's really starting to come out of his shell and I'm hoping that by the end of the season he'll be a lot closer to the player he could really be. A lot of credit has to go to Kenny again for giving him that license to roam forward a lot more than he did under the previous managers. Marshalled the back three well and made some crucial blocks and tackles. Still needs to work on his passing though. Meireles had a stormer too, all over the park and willing to run into space quite often, another player who has been a revelation under Kenny. The goal he scored was sublime, a really cool finish under a lot of pressure. My mate said it was a sitter?, what the f**k!. He was running across the penalty area, the ball was coming across him, he was running flat out, he had a space of about 2 foot to put it into due to Cech, Terry and Ivanavovic blocking the goal. Combine that with the fact he had both feet off the floor when he hit it and he was moving horizontally in the air, then I'd say that his technique was fantastic and the finish was bang f**king on!.

Gerrard was like a man possessed, you could tell that both himself and Carragher were determined to slam Torres' words back down his f**king throat!. He was everywhere and Lampard didn't get a look in, all our midfield were hunting both Lampard and Essien down like rabid dogs!. The ball in from Gerrard for the goal, and may I say what a f**king pass it was from Kelly that put him in, was absolutely outstanding. It dipped perfectly between Cech, Ivanovic and Kuyt, Kuyt dummying the stab as Cech and Ivanovic flapped and watched it go past them and Meireles buried it. After their misunderstanding in the first half I thought we would have played more on that indecision between Ivanovic and Cech but it wasn't to be. I don't know if anyone else notices this but Cech is always reluctant to take physical contact, ever since that collision with Stephen Hunt about 5 years ago. I know it's understandable but I feel it's a weakness that teams should exploit. That helmet is his comfort blanket and until he removes it I feel there will always be that element of vulnerability in his game.

Kuyt has come in for a lot of stick from me this season and rightly so but against Chelsea he led the line well. He fought for everything and in games or wars like this he rises to the occasion. He makes a nuisance of himself and it was good to see a striker defending from the front again, something we've been missing in the last 12 months or so. My only qualm with Kuyt is that he's never going to beat his man in a one on one situation, he's never going to get in behind the defence and score goals. He held the ball up well and in all fairness, with the style of football we're playing at the moment the that isn't such an issue anymore as there is always plenty of support coming from the middle.

I'd like to say last but not least but I'm afraid it's last and least, Maxi Rodriguez. He had a f**king nightmare and I'm not talking about the miss either. He was absolutely terrible and runs about like a headless chicken with no end product. Another thing that pisses me off is when he gets tackled or muscled off the ball and goes down like a cheap whore. And why does he always clutch his left f**king shin?. I've lost count of the times where I've actually seen him get kicked in the right ankle and thigh and he still clutches his left shin. Half the time I think it's an act because he feels like a right tit when he loses the ball so feigns injury to hide his embarassment. In fact it just highlights the embarassment as he puts us under more pressure with a man down in defence. He really has got to go in the Summer and I'll be very surprised if he survives the Anfield cull.

Pepe Reina, not a lot to say really. The defence were fantastic and he had very little to do bar that leg block. It's nice to see him having some easy games under Kenny after the bombardment he constantly suffered under Roy Hodgson. The belief in these players has been beautiful to see, they are playing for each other, they are playing for us, they are playing for the Club. But most of all I think they are playing to please Kenny. Kenny and all his staff have worked miracles in a short space of time, credit goes to them all and also the away fans at the game yesterday, they were f**king awesome!. Singing until the end and giving Torres what for. Well done lads.

To recap then, Carragher for MOTM, was everywhere and fought like a lion. Meireles with a great goal and performance but he really needs to stick his leg in more often, I counted at least ten challenges that he sh*t out of. Maxi can shape up or f**k off. Everyone else, 110% effort and commitment. Kenny and the staff, brilliant tactical masterclass and massive respect for turning us back into a force again. That win yesterday sent out a message to the rest of the League, rest assured that Spurs and Chelsea will be looking over their shoulders with fear in their eyes for the rest of the season.

Had to go to work straight after the game so I watched the post match interview with Carra, Meireles and Kenny when I got home this morning and I must have rewound it at least fifteen times!. Loved hearing Carra and Meireles saying team every other word and Kenny's interview was fantastic!. He really knows how to get a message across, he really loves this Club and he knows exactly what he wants to do next. You can tell by the way he never pauses before he answers a question, it's coming from the heart. There is nothing to hide, no agenda, just a love for this Club, his family. I am on cloud nine, I haven't been this happy for a long long time.

Ever considered writing for a sports outlet?

I only write for one outlet mate, the one that counts, this one. I love football and I love Liverpool, it's a pleasure to post about this team now. I just write what I see, I'm certainly not a writer mate but thanks for the compliment. Wish I had time to write more but there's only so many hours in the day with 2 young boys and working 12 hour shifts, just lucky I've got wireless access in work on my break!. It's so refreshing to enjoy posting a match report when we're actually playing football this good. Am loving watching the old Liverpool again and loving posting again.

All down to Kenny Dalglish. I am beaming every day and can't wait for the next game, whereas before it was with trepidation. I'm not a very emotional person but when i see Kenny and hear his verbal flow i just want to grab hold of him and give him one enormous F***ing man hug and thank him for coming back to us, it means everything to me. He brings tears to my eyes, much like Rafa did with his words, their honesty, integrity, innocence and sincerity are very endearing qualities in a person.

Something has been missing for a long long time at Liverpool Football Club and that something is Kenny Dalglish. I feel exactly the same way now as i did as an 8 year old boy at Anfield all those years ago. All those emotions are flooding back to me and i F***ing love it!.
