He's just done some great skill to help create the first goal of the game for Argentina. Only started watching it at the 39th minute but the commentator said Lavezzi and Messi have been doing some amazing skill and control of the ball all the way through the first half.

Liverpool lining up bid for Napoli ace

Liverpool have been tracking Argentina striker Ezequiel Lavezzi for a year and could make a bid in the summer, according to the player's agent.




Jose Alberti, who represents the sought-after front man, claims the Merseyside club have had the 25-year-old on their radar for twelve months now, and has warned Napoli not to lose their goalscoring asset.

"Lavezzi has been followed by Liverpool for twelve months and they could make a bid for his services," Alberti told Italian website TMW.

He added: "Napoli must be careful not to lose a player like Lavezzi."

Lavezzi has bagged 35 goals in 122 appearances for Napoli since joining them in 2007 and, along with Liverpool, has also reportedly turned the heads of fellow Serie A side AC Milan.

The agent says they have been monitoring him for 12 months. 12 months ago we never had Carroll or Suarez. He said we 'could' make a bid, he never said we did. Your right crouchinho, a money seeking agent.

Liverpool are plotting a bid for Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to his agent.


The Argentina international has been at Napoli since 2007 and has scored 35 goals in 122 Serie A appearances since then.

But now his agent Jose Alberti says Liverpool have been tracking him for a year and could make their move this summer.

"Lavezzi has been followed by Liverpool for twelve months and they could make a bid for his services," he told Italian website TMW.


"Napoli must be careful not to lose a player like Lavezzi."

AC Milan are also thought to be keen on the 25-year-old who is nicknamed 'El Pocho' which translates as 'the Chubby One'.

From the looks of it he looks like the man we need, atm. we only have Suarez who can challenge defenders and get past them, with Lavezzi we'll be dangerous from both sides and have a giant target man who they can supply.

Yeah something like that. That front 6 would storm the league, with a decent defense of course.

The rumor does seem to be agent talk, so IMO its his agent trying to get his client a new contract. He is a quality player in the Italian league. One of the main reasons why Cavani is scoring for fun is Lavezzi. But I fully expect him to sign a new contract soon and all this can be swept under the carpet.

If we did have 20+ million to splash on a wide forward, I would rather get Hulk. Having a beast of a season with Porto, and is far stronger and physcially would suit the premier league better IMO. Also has more pace and is a left footer, both things that we're currently lacking.

Being from the USA I have seen first hand how FSG do business for a few years now.  Basically if you want it in a nutshell, they sign who you want but who you didn't think of because you thought the person was out of reach so you didn't consider it.  SO lets just see, it's going to be a great summer window!
