      An outstanding price for a quality player. Great piece of business and all of the sudden we have one of the paciest left sides in the Premier League when Downing is playing there. Wonderful.

      Great signing at a great price.
      Just goes to show that in this time of multi million pound signings that make heads shake, there are players out there who often fly just below the radar who are top class and can be had for this sort of sum. Makes me happy to see that we are looking everywhere and anywhere for players that work hard and will fit in with our club.
      Good bit of business that will pay dividends in the future for us, and hopefully very soon!

      Glad this one seems to be done. Dragged on for a while though. We just need a CB now, Cahill looks set to be on with N,gog going the other way, so lets bring Pacheco through as 4th choice striker and we could just be done.

      He shouldn't start the Sunderland game anyway or that sends the message to Fabio that he's second fiddle regardless of how he does in training. Enrique needs to earn his place, imo.

      To be fair to Thommo he never mentioned the price, interesting how things are done so far in advance and we have to sit through the speculation!
