Nice to see ex-Red Ryan Flynn open the scoring as well.

They both played well Billy but I'm delighted for Conor as he'll be gaining loads of valuable experience playing in a Wembley semi final, something he will bring back to Liverpool with him.

Aye I agree love and hopefully next year he can start pushing for a place at Anfield.

Brendan obviously has some belief in him, given that he's played him in a couple of games. Whether or not he has enough belief in him will be answered next year I suppose.

That's down to Conor to show he deserves it Billy as we all know Brendan will give chances to those who show what's required.  I believe that Conor has that determination and will work his arse off to get his chance.

Based on not much at all, I have decided that Conor Coady will be the new Didi Hamann.

The fact that we now have several very young players in the first team should be enough for the likes of Conor to get stuck in and prove the old saying of "if your good enough your old enough" still applies.

Glad to see Coady is going well at United. My impression was that he is very much a 7/10 type of player who will put a shift in, keep it simple and get you a goal here and there but it would be great if he can show he has little bit extra you need to make it at the very very top level

He's scoring more frequently now Brian which is great for the lad.

Sheffield United fan here, just thought I'd comment on how Coady is doing.

      In a word - exceptional.

The start of the season was difficult, not only for Coady but for the entire squad, things weren't working under Weir and he didn't relly get going - wasn't playing regularly, although when he did he was steady.

Under Clough, Coady has flourished along with the rest of the squad and we have seen why he is so highly rated at LFC.

From day one his stature and body language reminded me of a young Steven Gerrard, and I suppose his game is similar. Box to box, drives forward and for a young lad is very vocal.

Reading the posts on this thread, I can say that he is definitely a centre midfielder, to drop him back to centre half would be doing him a disservice.

Apart from his obvious talents, the major things United fans like about Conor is his attitude and passion. I read in this thread that perhaps he'd only be giving 75% effort because he's on loan - I don't think the lad is capable of anything other than 100%. He fits into the ethics of the club, and is obviously enjoying his time here.

He is a credit to your club.

Fans are begging the club to either sign him permanently or get him back on loan, all this depends on what BR decides at the end of the season I guess. Being a Liverpool fan he obviously wants to make it with you guys but if he is let go then we'd bust a gut to have him back.

Good luck tonight and for the title challenge.

well in conor!! can't ask more from a loan spell. he'll still be 21 until next year, i hope he gets a loan to the prem so we can have a good eye on him next season. then he'll come back a very experienced and very young man ready to fight for a spot in our midfield.

I'd loan him to a championship side first. League one to Premiership would be a massive jump.

Slight chance Sheffield go up and Coady goes back to them in the second division. That would work nicely I think?

Anyway I hope nothing but good for him. A good finish to his loan spell and then maybe a pre season to show what he can do. Can't be worse than Allen has been.

      Best of luck Conor.
I suppose to an extent it's easy to think Liverpool youth players are better than they are, when you watch them on a regular basis.
Then a player like Can or Coutinho comes to the team and you see how good they are at a young age.

That said, I think Coady can be great in the Championship.

All the best, will no doubt make a good career out of football. With improvement he may well end up back in the EPL with a lesser side.
