It could be a good move but it depends on a few factors, one as of yet I don't think anyone knows David Weir's style of play and two will the same bloke have the balls to stick with a young player, if things aren't working after the first few games. United have underachieved since they dropped into the third tier.
For me they haven't had the right man at the helm who's been willing to stick his neck on the block, and put his faith I what is a very bright set of youngsters at the club. Instead we've seen journeymen on huge wages be it in the first division or the Championship. I've strong ties to United and the wages some of there under achievers were on in the Championship quite simply was mind boggling.
It seems with the new signings that have been made prior to Connor's loan the club may finally have seen the light and putting there faith in youth.
