Just saying, going home with 0-0 when we could have easily conceded 1 at times - I'll take that when the performance was that sh*t.

Sorry mate, I'm just furious at that tame display.  Sure we got a result, but they were a poor side.  And we never threatened them, we sat back and were happy with a draw (imo).

How frustrating is that! we have just played a team who haven't had a competitive game for 3 months, in the only tornerment we can win a trophy, and we haven't managed a single shot on target. To many players went missing, Ngog, Maxi, Kuyt, Johnson, all dreadfull. We don't want to be sliping into bad habits, we needed changes tonight and they wern't made!!!!!!!

Away matches in Europe are always difficult. Not a very impressive performance attacking wise but I'd take a draw in an away game in Europe, though an away goal would help.

However, we at least could have threatened them more. Watching that game made it look like we were Sparta Prague and they were Liverpool!

Not so much annoyed with the tactics employed but rather who they were employed with.
Kuyt and Ngog were horrid.
This is 2 straight abysmal performances from Kuyt.
He may have an unmatched work rate, but his lack of quality in and around the box is glaringly obvious.
It seemed as though every first touch of his was too heavy and he hardly kept possession.
At least if Pacheco was in in some sort of advanced role with Kuyt there may have been some creativity up front.

I'd guess on a fit Gerrard for the return match and am holding out hope for a fit Carroll with Pacheco playing in a forward role.

I guess goalless is a decent result for us. Hopefully we win the home leg. Disappointed about the result, the performances of the players and that fact that more youngsters weren't used. Motm has to go to Renia, kept us from losing.

Typical scruffy European away game. Games like that you need something special to get a goal. We didn't have it on the pitch tonight. Toothless in a lot of our play.

A draw is never a good result, but it wasn't a bad result tonight. Could have been worse. Would have been worse not so long ago.

My impressions (only watched second half, but I doubt the first was far better)

Reina Man of this terribly boring Match
Wilson wasn't bad defensively but shouldn't play full back, he never support attack or even midfield.
Kyrgiakos was afraid they end with a penalty but no.
Carragher rather good.
Johnson good match, but hard to play 1v10 in attack.
Lucas not totally awful but part of a midfield mostly passing backward and sometimes having difficulties to get the ball.
Mereiles the same.
Cole the usual Liverpool Cole, useless.
Maxi, was he playing ?
Kuyt running a lot then giving the ball away.
N'Gog wasted the very rare service he had.

Guess it's a desserved result.

I'm not saying it's a bad result. I said it was a decent result. That's all it was, nothing brilliant. How was it a very good result? It was a decent result and we will more then likely win it at anfield.
