Liverpool 1-0 Sparta Prague - Post-Match Relief

Good game in all I think, it's a shame Kelly has picked up an injury though, he was one of the stand out performers in the first 45.  Danny Wilson played well too, it's good to know that we have a couple of strong wing backs with pace so we can deploy the same defence as we played against Stoke and Chavski. 

Super Kuyt's goal was superb too, you need to have a good understanding of how the defenders are gonna come at you to score like that something I reckon N'Gog still needs to master.  I did think that the deadlock would have been broken earlier though by Cole, how unlucky was he? ah well the whole team did well and we can now look forward to playing Braga in the last 16!

I have some sort of twisted respect for the guy, he seems the loyal type. Rather have him with me than against me as well 

Great relief when Kuyt scored from  that header, thought that the match was going into extra time. Well done the Reds in such a hard fought game.

Think we were playing a bit better after wee Jay came on. Should of started before Poulsen. I did think it was going to Extra time and pens. Sitting up Section 8 upper Centenery I was sitting behind a Stupid German who had far to much to drink F-in and Blinding . Up off his seat Me old man told him to sit on his arse . Turning round looking to the fans when people were saying sit down or trying to get supporters to join in his songs . Had to tell him Jamie Carragher song only goes to 11 carraghers he thought it was right up to 23 Carraghers . Anyway bar that good trip to Liverpool just home now . YNWA.

Last night was the "Grit and determination" box ticked.. We played the game for large parts under their jurisdiction (Headers, Free kicks and tough challenges) but we still came out on top..
I normally prepare myself for occasional disappointment from Kuyt when on the ball but it was clear to me that when everyone began to tire a little he went into another gear..
He was busy and involved in quite a lot in the second half..

 

Our Back Four were all Centre Half's by Trade Justs noticed. I do think we can get to the final City are our threat in my Eyes.

Kelly has said his best position is right back.

Yea I like him on the right geting up the wing . Not to sure about Danny Wilson left back. He better Centre Half.

Braga. I've seen you's twice . Really Nice Stadium its outstanding . It was a few years back am a Hearts fan ( Scotland ) we played you's in Uefa Cup. Good supporters .
