The Memorial Service to remember those who lost their lives at Hillsborough 22 years ago took place earlier this afternoon.


If you missed our live coverage on LFC TV then the service will be repeated in full at 9.15om this evening on SKY channel 434 and Virgin channel 544.

The service will also be available to watch in full on demand on LFC TV Online later this evening. The video will be uploaded onto this page when available, so check back regularly.

I somehow I only just managed to keep the tears back fully, until Rafa started crying. That had them flowing.

Great service and all the twitter comments from former players was nice to see.

I guess rafa had alot bottled up,he has had a tough year and today may have just pushed him.

You can see what this city,club and people mean to him and his family and how much he misses the place.

Amazing service. Never been so proud to be a Liverpudlian, standing strong together, we did not chose we were chosen, showing everyone what a great club Liverpool Football Club is and how together we can achieve anything.

Even seeing Evertonains holding Liverpools scarfs moved me.

Rafa shows what it's like to once be part of this club, a true red, a real gent and a real Scouser at heart.

Videos from today's memorial, and also the whole memorial will be aired tonight on LFCTV at 21.15 Liverpool time, which is free to watch for all fans.

What a wonderful service through and through, had me in the usual flood of tears especially seeing Rafa as well.

Maybe we can get some sort of online petition started to help with getting Kenny a knighthood?

F***ing brilliant, as always. Service done with such class and dignity. Always brings out my emotions, not much does that.

Was a great service although i wasn't able to watch it all. A fantastic turnout as always and very dignified.

My brother told me that Torres was there, anyone confirm it?

As usual,a difficult anniversary for the families of our departed Brothers,and to all other surviving Reds,we will get justice for them and their families.Proud to be a Red,and proud to have two of the finest men in football,associated with our club.Well in Kenny and Rafa,YNWA.

I think some claim to have seen him only to find out they were watching last year's memorial service. And I'm sure if he was there, the camera would have zoomed on him.

The one day of the year when I cry my eyes out - Rafa set me off this year, but in fairness I was on the verge anyway.

Until we get justice, and the disgracefull cover up, lies and deceit are overturned, no true supporter will ever rest.

If I have any details wrong, please let me know - my only thought in writing this was to bring attention to this travesty of justice, and highlight the lies and incompetence.

I am proud of the dignity shown in the face of mindless beaurocracy and cold hearted politics that we have faced for 22 years, by all those involved in the campaign, and by all our supproters.

Words cannot explain the unity of such a fantastic 'family'. 

That service today was beautiful, so glad I was able to make it.

King Kenny, Rafa, all at Liverpool Football Club, the Hillsborough Families, and all the fantastic fans from around the world.

Too many faces passed that day, young and old,they will never ever be forgotten.

It really hit home today how many young kids never came back from hillsborough people with there whole life ahead of them, kids not even 20 years old, as well all the other mums, dads, sisters, brothers that never came home on the 15/4/89. My thoughts and prayers tonight are with all the families.
I think there now closer to justice than they have ever been, let's hope the light is there at end of this dark tunnel.

It get's more emotional as the year's go on.Thinking back to being a 15year old how excited i was about watching the game,then to see it all happen in  front of the whole world.That will never leave me or anybody who carries the ''REDs'
in their heart. Walk On.

Gut-wrenching as ever. Watched clips this evening with tears running down my cheeks.

This is not just a team. This is a family.

The intangible qualities that embody what this club is about make me love it more.

My heart belongs to this club. l couldn't be prouder.

Will never forget being at me Dads house in Craven Street, Birkenhead at 9 years old listening to it all unfold on the radio.

Its means to me so much and has done more and more as I have grew up and understood what happened the older I have got.

It is the the injustice of things like Hillsborough that make me not so proud to be an Englishman.

I am so sick of the double standards of the governments that have run this country past and present.

I will never stop supporting the fight for justice until it prevails.
