I don't think it's rehashed, Rory Smith is reliable.

Kenny Dalglish has moved a step closer to becoming Liverpool's permanent manager after negotiations were opened on a two-year contract.
John W Henry, head of Fenway Sports Group and Liverpool's principal owner, along with chairman Tom Werner, watched Dalglish's side slip out of the Europa League against Braga on Thursday.
Despite that setback, FSG see Dalglish, 60, as the man to take Liverpool forward after being impressed by the work he has done since taking over on a temporary basis from Roy Hodgson on January 9.
Terms have yet to be agreed but it is understood the offer would keep Dalglish at Anfield until 2013. The club were 13th when Hodgson was axed but they have climbed to sixth on the back of a run that has included impressive wins over Chelsea and Manchester United.
On the playing front, Dalglish has called upon Fabio Capello not to gamble with the fitness of £35million Andy Carroll.
The Liverpool striker is expected to be heavily involved when England's quest to qualify for Euro 2012 resumes against Wales next Saturday.
Carroll and Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon are due to be included in Capello's squad when it is announced tomorrow.
Capello went to Anfield on Thursday to see Carroll, who has just returned from a serious thigh problem, make his first start for his new club.
Carroll, who is expected to drop to the bench for tomorrow's game at Sunderland, wilted towards the end of the game and Dalglish admitted it had not been the plan to give him 90 minutes, as he has only been in full training for three weeks.
Dalglish reminded Capello that Carroll is still well short of peak condition and he does not want to see the 22-year-old suffer any setbacks.
Dalglish said: 'England have to be responsible with him. There is nothing we can do to stop them picking him, but common sense has to prevail. It is not a case of going to war with anyone.'

There is very little doubt in my mind that this deal will be done. Now NESV might look at someone like Boas or Klopp and think them attractive but there is no way they don't give Kenny a proper shot at this. He is going to have some real money to spend on the type of players he wants, he will have 1000% support from the ownership and the fan's (well except for some on this board apparently)

If they let KK go at the end of this season, brought in a young manager and he does not perform up to hopes then the cries for Kenny will start up again. If they give KK the job and he fails then nobody is going to give them crap about bringing in a new manager, if he succeeds then they made a wise appoitment; either way NESV does not come out the bad guy.

Lot of these decisions are based off of PR...they have seen what the fans can do (H&G) and want no part of that. Kenny is going to get his wish and I hope he does well because the minute he signs that deal he steps back out of the light of legend and into being a manager who's toes will be held to the fire if results are not up to par.
