If Carroll is going to be played, it has to be a 4-4-2, IMO. Still think Joe Cole's position should be in the hole, not left or right but there's no choice in the 4-4-2. I doubt Steven Gerrard will play a part so it's a real pity that we've not got Jonjo Shelvey.

A must win now i,m afraid. We are crying out for some creativity in midfield. The jury is still out on Joe Cole but i think he would be far more affective in the center of midfield. Its no good putting him out on the wing. He is known for unlocking defences and creating goals, so thats where we need him. I would,nt start with Carroll its a big risk throwing him in from the start at this stage of his fitness. I,m hoping Aggers back for this one also.

I think Carroll has to start this one. When he came on last Thur. he caused them all sorts of problems. Without a recognised centre mid field creative player, we will need to go more route one,(kills me sayin that) or get down the flanks and get the crosses/pull backs in. If we try and play through the middle with Lucas and Poulson, we'll get turned around too often and will put our back 4 under to much pressure. We just got unfortunate with injuries and we don't have to many quality options when we're all fully fit. We will have to play to the limited strengths we have left. The win is more important than the style at this point. We are a goal down after all. Put the bas**rds under pressure from the off. We get two goals and shut up shop, look to catch them on the break after that.

I have so far enjoyed both my trips to Liverpool. The first time was to visit Anfield and the Museum. Alot of amazing stuffs there. You will love it. I even met Jamie Carragher at night on that day!

Why?  I was under the impression that Brum took the 7th place spot, and 5th and 6th are both Europa League spots.

Either way, I feel we need to play Big Andy from the start.  He gave them a torrid time when he came on last week, and his size and strength are really special.  I'd look for this lineup at Anfield:

Either Stoke or Bolton will take the 6th place as the runners up of the FA Cup get it.

The three Europe league spots are :- 5th, Carling Cup winners and FA Cup winners

if the winners of the Carling cup qualifies for Champions League, that place goes down to 6th. If FA Cup winner and runner-up qualify for CL as well, then it goes to 7th

Birmingham won Carling Cup - so they get in. FA Cup final is Man Utd/ Man City v Stoke / Bolton. if the mancs win, runner-up gets Europe League. If Stoke / Bolton win, then also get Europe league.

So its 5th or bust now.
