Would you prefer Tottenham or Chelsea for 4th place?

IF we finished 5th or 6th of the PL. Which team would you prefer to be 4th?
IF Kenny had been in charge sooner we would be 4th actually.

Personally I would prefer Tottenham to be 4th rather than Chelsea.
Reason 1- Torres; Don't need to explain.
It will also serve as example to other players.

Reason 2- We will attract players more than Chelsea would.
We would assure 1st team play to players we would try to sign etc.

Agreed. Otherwise I don't give a sh*te. Although it would be funny if moneybags Chelsea weren't in UCL and couldn't spend nearly as much under financial fair play the following season.

Think of it logically do the chavs need the money?  NO and the last thing we need is the likes of spurs getting more and more money from the CL and buying better players therefore widening the gap between us and them.

I'd want Chelsea to be honest, not because I favour them in any way shape or form, but because of Romans money players would still come to Chelsea regardless of European football, whereas Tottenham qualify generate more money from Champions League revenue, that may mean it will take us a little longer to climb back into the top 4.

Although if Chelsea did not qualify it would certainly add comedy value to the whole Torres saga.

I'd rather Spurs. They're still small time, no prestige or history and won't attract the pinnacle of footballers.

Wouldn't exactly say they are small time Crouchinho they have a few players there I would snap your hand off for, Defoe,Van Der Vart, Crouch, Modric and Bale. So I don't think we need them improving too much.

Simply because if Chelsea come 4th or 5th they will spend massively this summer but if Tottenham finish 4th, they will be able to keep their star players and spend but if they finish 5th they will lose a least 1 important player and will struggle to bring in top talent, which will make them a far weaker side next year.

Surely a Spurs team who can only 'maintain' they squad is less dangerous than a Chelsea team who would be able to spend hundreds of millions on improving their squad?

Well even if Chelsea finish 4th or 5th they are going to splash the cash IMO. Think it would be better for Tottenham to not get 4th so they will be forced to sell prized assists during the summer.

If tottenham do get top 4 they will be dangerous along with Chelsea. There would be 6 teams fighting for 4 spots.
