Liverpool are considering a move for Real Sociedad's Xabi Prieto asthey continue their exhaustive attempts to rebuild for next season. Prieto came through the ranks at Real Sociedad and along withAntoine Griezmann, who Liverpool have also watched, is one of the Basque club's most saleable assets.
 The skilful midfielder, 27, plays on the right or centre and would command a fee in theregion of ?8million, but has a reputation for blowing hot and cold. Hot and cold: Prieto  Griezmann came close to joining Liverpool during the last transfer window and the 20-year-old remains high on the Anfield club's wanted list.
Barcelona's Jeffren Suarez has also been mentioned.
 Liverpool are confident Luis Suarez will be fit for their next Barclays Premier League match at West Bromwich Albion on April 2, even though he has been forced to pull out of Uruguay's squad for friendlies against Estonia and the Republic of Ireland with a groin problem.

27, don't see this happening to be honest, I expect Comoli has a long list of wide men,maybe this lad is on it, but I'd expect it to be a big list and him to be closer to the end than the top

He has 6 goals and 10 assists this season. Think I am right in saying that is the most assists for any player outside of the top 2.

Sociedad star rubbishes Reds rumours

Real Sociedad's Xabi Prieto has dismissed speculation that he will be joining Liverpool in the summer.

It is believed Reds boss Kenny Dalglish top priority in the transfer market is to buy a winger, to provide service for new striker Andy Carroll. According to Spanish newspaper, AS, despite been linked with the likes of Ashley Young, Adam Johnson and Eden Hazard, Liverpool were on the verge of sealing Prieto's services, following a season of impressive appearances in the midfield of the Txuri-urdin.

However, the 27-year-old has rubbished this, insisting he wants to stay in his hometown of San Sebastian. Speaking to AS, he said: "There is nothing to what has been published. Liverpool are a very good team, but I've always said I'm happy here."

The £10million rated former Spain Under-21 international has been with Real Sociedad throughout his career, graduating through the youth academy and making his debut in 2003, totalling over 200 appearances and 34 goals.

He can stay there,doubt he is top of our wingers list.And at 27 dont think he will fit into NESV plans.

Watching that video there's only one Xabi I saw in it that I want, and it isn't Prieto.
