I still have not fully gotten into MW:2 yet. I've got both of them, just haven't been fully into the MP as most are. As i've said before, Bad Company does it for me more. Will see how i go over the summer when i have more time to F**k around with my game collection, but my interest certainly isn't as much into this as most will be :D

To solve my problem, I'm getting both Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3.

      Exciting!

      :lmao:

Was thinking the Modern Warfare tag would branch off from COD and follow the developers who left but it mustn't be the case. Whatever project they hit next will be the next big thing, for sure.

      Battlefield 3 isn't it...

Is anyone else as concerned as I am about the new look activision/infinity ward development team. I'm concerned with how much of an effect the whole lawsuit/exodus will have on the game.

Hopefully they do the smart thing take a more proactive stance like Treyarch did, although Black ops is not as good as MW2 they have no nearly had the same problem with hackers and boosters as MW2.

Would also like to see different kinds of multiplayer modes, the wager matches on BO just gave something different to do.

No doubt I'll still enjoy it anyway, bit of a COD fanboy regardless of the developers. Pre-ordered my copy yesterday. Just another 6 months to wait... No biggy  :f_whistle:

They did get Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games to help out developing the game. Let's just see how it fares in November.

Definitely getting the Prestige Edition for it!

Don't think there will be a Zombie Mode for this one (never had any in the Modern Warfare series but thought they might want to stick with it here) but there's Survival Mode.

I have to finish Black Ops and platinum my MW2 this summer. Also have to finish Bad Company 2 before I buy BF3!

Heck, I have to finish 10 other games!

News about the box art. This is officially the one

Also, I think there's a trailer to be released by Activision on the 23rd of May 2011 (tomorrow).

What a bad series of games... and it just gets worse.

Yet another release for immature Americans kids to get all soppy about. Laverly.

Glad someone else agrees with me on here, I was thinking I'd be all alone in making snide comments about the CoD series in this topic. :D

I have to admit I was blown away by the first Modern Warfare, the single player story was epic. Beyond that... meh.

The infinaty ward games are good.  Treyarch just sucks and looks too cartoonie.

I remember people complaining about the bugs in mw2.  Black ops cant even fix a spawn problem.

Don't get me wrong I was a CoD4 fanboy. Freakin' loved that game, definitely played it more than all the others combined.

Now Activision are milking this cash cow for as much as they can. Why else would they get two whole studios to put out a new game every year? The engine's also falling behind, visually it's not particularly impressive and the addition of some kill streaks or a few different guns, and an extremely short SP is not enough for me to shell out 40 quid every November for this rehashed crap. Plus Infinity Ward no longer actually exists as it used to, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was another drop in quality.

There's occasionally some genius ideas in there, eg. Nazi Zombies from Treyarch. But no ingenuity, nothing game changing, just the same sh*t, different map.

Agreed, I think DICE's Frostbite engine is much better and I can't wait to see Frostbite 2 in action for Battlefield 3.

Read my mind mate, BF3 is gonna quite literally blow everything out the water. There's a whole slew of other FPS games coming out this year I'm more interested in than MW3, Battlefield 3 and RAGE top that list.

      This. Had enough of COD.
Played Bad Company. Loved it. I will be buying the rest of them and leaving the COD franchise behind.

Don't quite understand why people compare both Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. Yeah, both are FPSs but are different in their ways. Also can't understand why people are writing Modern Warfare 3 off. If you're a fan, it shouldn't matter.

However, it does feel that Battlefield 3 is trying so hard to be better than Modern Warfare 3 and that everyone is also probably hoping that Modern Warfare 3 fails as a game, though.

Get both, test your FPS skills!
