This is a bit of a blast from the past, 2007 I started this thread?  Crikey.

Every time I see him it makes me sick to my stomach that we told Anelka to do one and we signed this nonce.  I do genuinely believe that he never would of made it to the Premier League if it wasn't for us.

Wish he'd just hurry up and F***ing retire.  Useless waste of space & money.  >:(

Personality aside for a mo', looking at his footballing abilities:

Or is he there as a tactical ploy for winding up just like Savage was?
He is a tactical ploy  mate or could the TP stand for total pr**k?

Did I hear he only scored 8 goals for Liverpool? Weren't two of those on his debut?

      EDIT: From Wikipedia:

      Quote
In the 2003/04 season, he became the first Liverpool player to wear the number nine shirt to fail to score a goal in an entire season. He made 33 appearances and went over 14 months without a goal. Despite his impressive start to his Liverpool career where he scored a brace on his Anfield debut against Southampton F.C, he only managed 6 goals in 80 appearances, failing to live up to expectations. Toward the end of his spell at Liverpool new manager Rafael Benítez loaned Diouf to Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan. During his time at Liverpool he was regarded as a total failure and according to Steven Gerrard's book he was not the signing Liverpool needed to take them up a level and win the league.

How f***in sad is that? Shameful thing is I was at his debut against Southampton and was thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread. The c**t soon proved me wrong!

Yes and if I remember right one of those goals was a cross from the wing that hit him on the back and went in.He knew nothing about the goal and has been proved he knows even less about football.

People hacking on Diouf, what about Gerrard?

The c**t knocks out a DJ over some little argument but doesn't send this w**ker to hospital on the back of an ambulance.

      El-Hadji Diouf
I am hoping that someone can shed light on El-Hadji Diouf. My memory of him at World Cup was he was great. Pretty certain Houllier signed him pre world cup, relatively cheaply, as his value / stature was markedly higher after the world cup. Again, if my feeble memory is correct, he was very impressive in his first few games, possibly scored a few times as well. He then seemed to fall by the wayside.
Even though his decline had started, Pele had him in his Top 100 in the world , of which 50 were retired players:
Maradona, Di Steffano, Pele himself, Banks,Bobby Charlton,Platini, Beckanbauer,Muller,Seeler,Puskas,Facchetti, Zoff,Cryuff,Neeskens, Best, Eusebio and King Kenny.
      The 50 current players included:
      Kempes,Saviola,Cafu,Ronaldhino,Ronaldo,Zico, Socrates,Nedved,Schmeichel,Beckham,Keegan,Shearer,Linnekar,Owen,Cantona,Viera,Henry,Zidane,Ballack,Rummenigge, Klinsmann,Buffon,Del Piero,Totti,Vierri,Roy Keane,Bergkamp,Kluivert,Van Nistelroy,Figo,Raul,Shevchenko, Diouf and Juan Sebastian Veron.
Interesting (to me anyway) that Veron was brilliant for Argentina and the Italian club he played for,but crap for Manure ( although like Diof, scored a couple of goals for them very early in his career with them), and became average/crap by his standards and when he moved to Chelski ( I think the c**t scored a goal against us in his debut?)didn't take long for him to fall out of favour. Wonder if like Veron,Diouf wasn't suited to Prem and his World Cup performance was "a flash in the pan"?
