No excuses!! Not good enough. They wanted it more than us and that's what worries me more than anything!

Exactly!! the worst was that they wanted more. If we want big trophies, if we want the barcalys premier league title, we must beat any external circunstances.. say atkinson, say early in game injuries...

So if Soto didn't make the errors the two goals, caused by Soto's errors would have gone in eh? Bollocks.

Like I said if we competed and won the midfield battle, instead of allowing West Brom to play through us at will, both those chances may not have been created.

Its not rocket science, nor is it bollocks.

We always lose when Hodgson's in the dug-out.

Lack of width is doing us in. Teams compacting the midfield, impossible for us to play without wingers.

Entirely agree.  All the teams above us have talented wingers. We don't.  Until that is sorted we can argue till we're blue in the fact about central midfielders, formation.

An absolute priority that we get some genuine pace and talent on the wings.  Kuyt, Meireles, Rodriguez, Cole, Jovanovic.  Sadly none of them are realistic and ambitious options for width.

Just laughing at the BBC text commentary: ....Pepe Reina, for once today, is the villain of the piece as he blatantly brings Peter Odemwingie down in the box......  wtf!!

Did the midfield play? It was unlucky to lose the Dagger and Glen, our two best ball-playing defenders, but the midfield showed no drive. When their defense won a ball in the air, we rarely got the clearance. We had four in attack, six on defense, with no drive from Lucas or Spearing to help the four in attack.

Kyrgiakos is such a liability. I'm always nervous when he's involved.

All true, but if we had competed on a level playing field, we'd have likely scored from one of the many free-kicks we should have got.

whilst it didnt help, we created f*** all. we got out numbered, out fought and out played in the middle of the park. and that is why we lost.

Snowball effect i think. Players lost confidence early on, started losing their temper (one in particular). West Brom grew and grew from there. We could have had a lot more free-kicks as well. We had good enough chances as well, especially near the end, but weren't good enough to put them away.

I'm sorry but Atkinson defo has something against Liverpool he is a disgrace in every game he refs we are playing.

Sotis has to be sold in the Summer he is a complete liability and does not have the legs for the Premiership. Our midfield was a joke I'm sorry but if your playing centre midfield for Liverpool you should be demanding the F***ing ball off the centre halves.

I think next season will be Carraghers last as well, all he does is hoof the F***ing ball.

Raul played good for Liverpool when was played in his proper position centre midfield not F***ing right not left not behind the attacker he is a centre F***ing midfield like Aquilani why can we not just play players in there proper positions

Although we were bad, I thought we have played worse under Kenny away from home.  21 points to play for, knowing our lot, we'll go and win at Arsenal  ;)

That was a seriously sh*t display ! As has been said , they just wanted it more than us.
Can't have a go at Soto at least he looks like he cares !!
We just didn't have the desire to win .
As for the ref , I will get banned if I say what I really think about Mr. Atkinson.
Ref aside though we got what we deserved , nothing !!

I have to say, we definitely miss Mascherano. No one closes down an opponent with a ball better than he does.

I definitely think we need another midfielder, two wingers and a left back.

Seemed to be 4-4-1-1, but changed in the second half I think.

      Skrtel had a good game.

Suarez, when he got the ball, wasn't too bad.

The rest were a steaming pile of horseshit.

Feel a bit sorry for Carra and Wilson as both are clearly centre-backs.  Real lack of depth at the club sadly.  Aurelio, Agger and Kelly are effectively crocks.  Johnson's had a couple of injuries now.

Just a dismal game.  Who knows how it would have panned out if Agger and Johnson hadn't have been injured. I'm sure we would have seen a lot more support and width.

Lucas and Spearing did not play badly but they did not do THEIR JOB; they did not take the ball from the defenders to distribute it. ???? I cannot understand WHY!!!???
This forced the defenders to make these f******* long balls forward!
We cannot blame any player(and should not), we can only blame the way we played.
