      V

We badly need to get over the WBA performance performance and result. The only way is to follow it up with a better performance and result, and our next game up is City at home.

Liverpool return to action when they play host to Manchester City on April 11 at Anfield. We have to get revenge for that hammering in the disappointing 3-0 defeat at the City of Manchester Stadium earlier in the season. Last season's Anfield meeting between the sides ended in a 2-2 draw.

City have beaten Sunderland comfortably at home this weekend while we were absolutely dire away to WBA. They may have one eye on the FA cup clash at Wembley after us so hopefully we can capitalise on this. A much better performance is needed.

We have many injury problems with the likes of Agger, Gerrard, Kelly and Aurelio out and with Johnson and Shelvey doubts.

Im assuming Gerrard is back but Agger, Johnson, Kelly and Aurelio are out.

                                Reina

            Carragher    Skrtel  Krygiakos Wilson

                              Lucas
                       Gerrard   Meireles

                   Kuyt     Carroll    Suarez

The back four scares me and I also hate the fact that it will be 60 yard balls from Carra, Wilson and Skrtel.

Kenny needs to have a word.

To be honest, I'm pretty worried for this, and it's a home game!

Manchester City probably owns us in the majority of the positions, especially since our back four would probably be consisted of four centre backs, rather than two centre backs and two right/left backs.

I just hope we can come away with a much needed win.

I'm actually confident for this game, think we'll win 2 or 3 nil.

Did you watch them play today and watch us play on Saturday? I'll echo Adryan's comment and say I'm not filled with optimism. The only thing that is getting me going for it is that the lads somehow get themselves up for the big games.

We will WIN. My only concern is that the Citeh midfield will outmuscle us again like they did last time.

I read somewhere that Gerrard may be out for the season after damaging his groin again in training? (hopefully bollocks)

I think Suarez and Carroll will get the goals in a 2-0 win.

Gerrard felt more pain in his groin according to Kenny. As to how long he will be out for that hasn't been disclosed. It is possible however he needs more surgeory which would probably rule him out for months. (The end of the season)

Gonna be a few more weeks at best IMO.

City won 5-0 today. They'll be full of confidence. If we have another Spearing Lucas central partnership then I fear for us.

Looks like Gerrard, Johnson and Agger (maybe) are out for this game too, another blow.

Yeah I am not liking that back four at all. Going up against City with that back four won't end very well.

But I am confident Kenny will come up with something to help us win.

Superior tactics and inspired play will have to get us through this one. That backline (assuming Johnson and Agger are out) will only hold for so long and the midfield performance against WBA gives me little in the way of confidence without Gerrard.

If Meireles impacts the game a little more, Suarez keeps up his play and Carroll gets some chances to head one in we might have a chance. Need to score goals though. Can't hope for a clean sheet or anything close to one.

I can't get worked up about them, when you consider they have to share a city with the other retards.

It's funny watching city fans trying to think of themselves as big time, yet you scratch your head when thinking about the last time they actually challenged for any sort of trophy.

so who's goint to supply our width in this one. Not very optomistic i'm afraid. Especially without Agger at the back. Will wait to predict until I see the team sheet.
