If they had to start at the bottom and work their way up on merit alone, that would be fairer. Then again, I suppose you could argue that they'd have the advantage of huge financial support. Maybe that's why Barca have to buy their players from the B Team. I'd be interested to know how the transfer fees are worked out.

They don't buy their players from the B-team. They just buy some players for the B-team, to give competition to the upcoming youth players. Reserve teams there are different also in the way that they aren't allowed to just switch older players between the 1st team and the reserves, in the case of an injury for instance.

I'm sure the club will figure out the best way to achieve the results required, but surely people can see the advantages to the club if a structure was in place with another club where someone like Rodolfo brought the six best players on loan for a season or two at championship level. Clubs could do a lot worse then have a system in place where they had some of our top youngsters each year

Barcelona want Rodolfo back but if you read the last 3 paragraphs it is all about how he is very happy here and has rejected Barca twice already. This article makes no sense and isn't linking him to Barca rather stating Barca just want him back.
