Liverpool will make an audacious bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon this summer for £15million.

      Injury-hit Gerrard out for season
Reds' manager Kenny Dalglish is desperate to sign players to give his side more natural width and supply the new strikeforce of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

He sees the 23-year-old as the ideal signing as his pace would be a great quality in the Scot's view of playing a counter-attacking style.

Lennon has endured a stop-start season through injury, scoring three goals and two assists in 27 games.

Dalglish will hope to take advantage of the controversy surrounding Lennon's late withdrawal from Tottenham's line-up against Real Madrid in the Champions league.

The winger was said to have fallen ill just minutes before the teams were about to emerge at the Bernabeu for the quarter-final.

Lennon was angry at this, claiming through Twitter he told the medical staff days before the game of his illness and was unhappy being made into the scapegoat following the 4-0 thrashing.

Manager Harry Redknapp has publicly supported his star but privately has misgivings about Lennon's ability to handle the big occasion.

My Magic 8 Ball is a more reliable source than caughtoffside.  Articles based on supposition, they are like those charlatan psychics, get one right occasionally and hope you forget all the rest.

      Awful article. Pure speclation.

On Lennon I may be alone here but have never really rated him and think he is very over rated as he has pace but his end product isn't that great.

Better wide player than we have but there are much better out there.

I don't think it's impossible if he wanted to play for a bigger club, better manager, is still young...

Would prefer Walcott or Johnson but I'd have this guy above Young. Any chance of throwing wages at Theo the Liverpudlian? Maybe one more season at the Arse?

Walcott would be awesome to have but the only way I could see us getting him is if their is a part exchange with Reina.

Rather Adam Johnson. He has pace to go with better dribbling and a superb cross. Lennon has very little in his armory when you overlook his pace.

Agree Crouchy and I'd rather have N'Zogbia than Lennon or Walcott as well.

Agree mate on both counts. No one needs to sell me the idea of having N'Zogbia in our side. I'd be disappointed to not go for Johnson or Sanchez but if we settle for N'Zogbia i'd still be well pleased.

Tottenham are willing to sell Aaron Lennon for £15 million this summer following a breakdown in his relationship with Harry Redknapp, talkaloadofbull.com can reveal.
The Spurs manager is fed up with below-par performances from the England winger and is ready to listen to offers for him.
Lennon has scored just three goals in 42 matches this season and, although he has chipped in with eight assists in all competitions, only three of those have come in the Premier League.
His relationship with Redknapp has steadily deteriorated over the last two seasons following a string of disagreements, culminating in a barely concealed falling-out following Tottenham’s 4-0 Champions League defeat at Real Madrid last month.
The Spurs boss has become increasingly frustrated by what he believes is Lennon’s failure to respond to orders.
“Harry feels Lennon is not learning, not improving and not listening to instructions,” a Tottenham source told talkaloadofbull.com. “He has been really disappointed by Lennon’s performances since the first half of last season and does not believe he is as willing to run at the full-back as he should be."
