      International Phone Calls
      Apr 11, 2011 12:17:05 am
;D, I'm not sure if there's such topic but I kinda need help.

My room has an internal extension number with 5 digits (for within the university) and an external number with 0 at the front then a 10 digit number (0xxxxxxxxxx).

I know the Lancaster Area Code is 1524. I also know that, for people outside the UK to call, they have to add +44 at the front.

So, the question is, if someone wants to call me from Malaysia, what numbers do they have to key in?

I have thought of a few but I still am not sure.

I can call my room number from my cellphone just by calling 0xxxxxxxxxx.
If anyone from Malaysia wants to call, do they put:

      +44 1524 0xxxxxxxxxx
      +44 0xxxxxxxxx
      +44 1524 xxxxxxxxxx

International code, area code and then number minus the leading 0 I'd like to think. Over here in Ireland our area codes begin with 0 so we take away the 0 from that if ringing home. So if the area code there has 0 then take it away, if not then its either minus 0 if first digit of number is 0 or all the numbers together

I'm not sure all those kisses will be enough to get through, they would only work in person, I think.

I take it your external number starts 01524 followed by another 6 digit number if so

Knock off the 0 and replace with 44 infront so you should have 441524 ******
