That does worry me because I can see City dominating that area.

Could see it switch to a 4-5-1 with Suarez in behind Carroll or 4-3-3 with Kuyt joining up top and Meireles moving inside.

Really hope Meireles isn't on the left. He hasn't had 1 good game where played on the wing.

I hope it's a 4-3-3 on the ball, and a 4-5-1 off it. We can't allow city to dominate our midfield like they did at Eastlands. Having said that, De Jong's absence in particular could make a big difference. Happy at Silva's exclusion too.

Pleased for Flanno, got high hopes for him.

In a way pleased we are playing 4-4-2.

We got battered with a 4-4-2 last time against this lot.

If Lucas has the kind of game he's produced against United and Chelsea and he's supported well by Spearing we'll smash these I think.

If they have a poor game like West Brom then Yaya and Barry will walk all over them and we'll get fu**ed over.

4-4-2 has failed terribly for us in every game we have used it for the past 18 months, interested to see how Flanagan gets on, to be honest thought he was another year away at least

We were lucky we only got beat 3-0 that game.  The worst performance from the club this season that was.  More to do with lack of fight than formation issues I think.

442 works for united and spurs. It only works when you have a lot of width. Which we simply do not have. 

There is no doubts about it, whatever way we try to relieve the pressure on the lad, this will be a big test for young Flanno. Best of luck to him though. He is in the team on merit so he is obviously good enough.

Not really JD 4-4-2 is not employed by any successful team in Europe, it is way to rigid for modern football. If we play a rigid 4-4-2 tonight we will get over run in midfield and battered. If City play with there usual three in midfield we will be outnumbered in there
