Liverpool 3-0 Man City: In game and Post Match buzzing

Biggest criticism of today's performance was about not using all 3 subs especially how with how small and tired our squad is.  Still, what a lovely predicament to be in when that's the biggest criticism of the performance.  3-0, I'll take that all day, every day.  Clean sheet for Pepe too!!

Feck, if we hadn't blown it against West Brom, West ham and Wigan we'd have been joint 4th now!

Anyways, John Flanagan can be really happy with his debut tonight. Hardly, if any, put a wrong foot in all game.

Alot of movements by the players, one touch and really enjoy the football, especially in the first half.

A huge confidence booster, this, and we've closed the gap between us and Man City by 3 points less.

Every one of the players played excellent tonight, what a joy to watch. Even the 12th man was absolutely brilliant and in fine voice.

Am i the only one who is a bit sad to see us play this F***ing brilliant, and then see us lose to West Ham and Roybromwich!?

Quality display by all but for the day that was in it il give my MOM to Flano! Debuts dreams are made of!

Spearing had a fine fine performance in the red shirt. His best yet undoubtedly. His crunching tackling was wonderful and I bet Mr Capello was impressed by his efforts.

So so many candidates for MOTM. The hardest MOTM choice yet this season. At least two players deserve that award tonight.

Outstanding - loved every minute. Pass and move and pressed them in possession so well.

Also though quieter in second half - Aurelio showed the value of a natural left back for me.

Excellent result lads.  

So pleased for Flanno, he deserved his start and quite a few on here were doubting whether he could make the step up against this opposition.

We were as good second half as the first.  Brilliant stuff.

Got to be one of the best games we've played this season and we scored three past both manc teams

It was a mighty relief having Aurelio back. He is a natural solid player who fully merits his place in the squad.

I'd be giving my MOTM to Carroll but I'd have to split it between him and Flanagan. To step up and have the game he had was excellent, always wanted the ball and was absolutely solid at the back.

All we need to do is play like that in every match!

Excellent result tonight with some top performances all over the pitch, the midfield bossed it both in attack and defense and never gave the City midfield a 10th of a second on the ball, Kuyt is My Man of the Match, for all he displayed the touch of an Elephant at times, he was all over the pitch and tireless throughout and set the example for the rest of the lads to follow.

Onto the Emirates and Arsenal on Sunday and if we can replicate that performance away from home, there is nothing to stop us coming away with three points considering Arsenal vulnerability at the back.

Can't fault a single player.

Flanagan had a fantastic game, Kuyt worked hard, Carroll took both goals well - but for me Luis Suarez was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch.  Tore the City defence all over the shop.  Brilliant player.

Brilliant game, everyone was solid. Spearing, Kuyt, Lucas, Flanno, Suarez and Carroll were all boss.

Have to give man of the match to Carroll but we were excellent in every position.

What a match. What a performance. Two excellent halves.

Extremely proud of the player's attitudes out there, never gave up.

Flanagan had a brilliant match, we have a star in our hands. As did Carroll. And Suarez. And Kuyt. And Spearing. I might as well just list all the players here.

MOTM i'd give to Carroll, scored two great goals and formed a great little partnership with Suarez. Looking forward to more of that in the future.
