First FIFA 12 Screenshot Stars Kaka

EA Sports has just released the very first (and only) screenshot for FIFA 12, showing not very much at all other than Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Kaka doing a bit of dribbling and ball control, in his blue footie boots.

You can take this as an official announcement that the game is on the way too, if you hadn't already worked that out. A year without a FIFA game is like a British summer without rain; it just doesn't happen. This will be the 20th FIFA game in the series, which began way back in 1993.

So, take a look at the first screenshot for FIFA 12 and then expect to hear more about the game in the coming days or weeks. FIFA 12 will likely release this autumn as per every other FIFA iteration.

Wonder what improvements would there be. I haven't even opened my FIFA 11  :-\

Really can't see how there's going to be a revolution in the gameplay, probably another badly named 'feature' that isn't particularly good.

Sounds like they've fu**ed up already then, there are whispers about Real ditching Kaka due to his injury problems. EA need a new poster boy.

      Disappointed with Fifa 11.

They havent bothered fixing many problems.
Took them around 5 months before they fixed Trigger Glitch.
Player Growth for under 21's in Career Mode is still broken.
      Online games are horrible.
Micro pausing, i wont start with that.

Fifa 11 is pretty much a melted down version of Fifa 10. Imo, it gets progressively worse each year. EA come up with some flashy preview of Fifa each year, but they shatter your expectations when you find out they're missing the exciting features. Sadly, its all in the marketing. For that reason, Im not buying Fifa 12.

Don't think they can be worse than PES, though.

I used to love PES but 2010 was really crap, IMO.

I'd actually say 11, for all it's problems, is a better game than 10. Fifa 10 still had loads of issues and the gameplay wasn't close to 11.

They really need to sort out career mode, it's buggy as F**k. It's going nothing on PES's Master League! 8).

11's game play is way more realistic then 10.

There was a problem with FIFA 10.

I think if you have a save file or something, two player usually freezes. I thought it was just my game but I googled it and it seems it happens to also the Xbox 360. Eventually sold my ugly looking platinum FIFA 10 and I've got 11 now.

Used to go to gamestation and just play it with a friend ;D.

11's game play is way more realistic then 10.
      Gotta disagree with that.

How is scoring from long range with any character realistic? There's a technique for that, and its pretty much abused if one knows how to use it.
Fifa 10 had the physics in its gameplay. They completely removed that in Fifa 11. There's no sense in that.
Defending. Shocking. Defenders seem to always make perfect tackles.
Player AI. Horrible. Strikers dont even know how to position themselves!
It took EA months before they fixed the offside rule.

      Need I say more?

Try playing Fifa 11 then going back to 10 for a game, you'll see the difference.

Merely the addition of the total 360 movement was enough to make the gameplay better. It flows more realistically, even if there are still faults with individuals going mental.

But there's always been faults there, I remember on the old PES games your defence would literally sometimes part like the red sea in front of one oncoming striker.

Gave up trying to play online many moons ago. 10 was poor online 11 is horrendous, still fancy the career mode on Fifa 11 despite some glitches it is the most realistic yet in terms of building squads from scratch and real life transfer values.

Taking everything into account, fifa 11 is a rather appauling effort from EA.

The defending is dreadful, the AI is dreadful, the movements off the ball are dreadful, the passing is dreadful, online mode is dreadful, the be a goalkeeper is actually that bad its quite funny, and as such makes be a pro and club matches funny at first, then very boring after half an hour. Ultimate Team never did interest me, and still doesn't. Nothing about the game resembles a game of football infact.

There also seems to be an unwritten rule in the game that when you get all the momentum either for or against you, in that time you can't help but score/conceed.

Not to mention the game is buggy as F**k.

Even more appauling is that it is the best footie sim about, and the reason I will end up buying the next sh*t instalment the cheeky cu*ts at EA come up with next.
