Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool: Post-match astonishment

It's ironic how a draw with Arsenal in 09 season ended our title hopes and the same has happened this season but the other way around.

Both fantastic games as well.

Lucas MOTM for me.  He was everywhere today.  Closely followed by Jay.

As a new supporter I have precious few memories to reference...yeah the ManU home game was good, Chelsea away was great and ManCity this past monday was a fun one to watch. This match however really makes me proud, even if Dirk had not gotten that penalty kick I was still proud.

We never ever gave up...Lucas and Jay stepped in to help out the kid's and everyone fought like junkhouse dogs backed into a corner. Arsenal is a good side, however even with losing 3 starters and having 4 yellow's the grit of the Scouse shined above all others. This is so different now that Kenny is here, we would have crumbled under the constant pressure if owl was still here...well in to the entire squad and hope for quick recoveries for Carroll, Carra and  Fabio.

remember the 4-4 game.

This is revenge for that.

A true grit performance by us today, never say die attitude well done lads you've done us proud. MOTM for me Lucas, well played lad.

Revenge is sweet Arsenal, revenge is sweet.

Every single player out there did us proud today. Robinson, Flanagan, Shelvey and Jay Spearing all showed that they are well capable of making the grade here.

Lucas was oustanding today, a monster performance. MOTM for me.

Kenny's response then was quality, "piss off"

And then follows it up by telling Geoff Shreeves to do his job properly.

The man is simply class and his influence is showing on the players, not one gave up the fight today, F**k utd and where the title is going, I'm just made up to see us not throwing the towel in.

Glen Johnson on the issue:

Well played LFC. So much went wrong today, but we battled well, and finally got some luck.

all deserve great credit.

Well all I can say is wow that was a game of lots of ups and downs.
To come away with a point after all the problems we had in the game I will take that.

All the lads did themselves proud, the drive and never die attitude of every single one of them is going to do us wonders next season.

I said on the first page of this what a big game it was for spearing and lucas away from home and wow did the boys stand up and show how much we can look forward to the future, so glad adam didnt come YET never would have seen spearing like this. F**k united who cares 38 games not 1!

What a game. We had everything against us with injuries and not a lot of decisions but we never gave up and got a result and with Kenny telling arsehole whinger to piss off - classic. Well done redmen.

Lucas MOTM for me - won the free kick (on the line so should have been a pen) then won the pen.
Covered the ground really well and helped out the defense wonderfully.

Spearing a close 2nd.

The lads all played well today, with the exception of meireles - he really needs to pull his finger out, and Suarez needs to get his head up when he's in the box.

Great result, and the most dramatic match of the season - this feels almost like a win, after losing 2 of our better players, but the young lads did really well.

What I'm more pleased about is the fact that we never gave up, not once, we played right to the end and we got our just desserts.

If this match had happened 6 months ago, we'd have been dead and buried by half time....that's the huge difference with Dalglish in charge.

Love it Love it Love it.....and roll on next season, I for one can't wait 

Oh and one more small point.....I got 7 points in the prediction league..yes !!!
