      Aly Cissokho (Lyon)

Premier League big-hitters on alert as Lyon defender Cissokho weighs up 'dream' move
Manchester City and Liverpool are set to move for Aly Cissokho after the highly-rated Lyon defender signalled his intent to seal a move to the Barclays Premier League.

Cissokho has attracted interest from across Europe following a number of excellent displays for Lyon with Bayern Munich and Juventus also among his pursuers.

But the 23-year-old left-back is keen to wrap up a move to England saying:  'I think this is a league that suits me. 'It is a league where you can show power and get forward.

'Whether it is clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Man City now Liverpool or Chelsea, they are clubs you dream about.'

However Cissokho, who's been capped by France on just one occasion, insists he's also content to stay with Lyon.
'I am happy to be at Lyon, I am at the best club in France, and everyone gives a lot to me here.'

A known Liverpool fan. Not as passionate about LFC as some but he'd be a wonderful capture. Between Aly and Robinson, the left back spot would be top class for years to come.

I don't rate any other left back available as highly as I do this lad. Been a massive fan of his since his days in Porto. I think we might be priced out of him though.

I talked about him a long time ago on here as well, he has gone quiet lately but still top drawer and clearly a Liverpool fan. Think he would be a very good signing

If Enrique's fee is really 15M, I'd take Cissokho everyday of the week over him.

One of the most stupid player I've seen in Lyon. I don't say that he's a bad player (he's average) but I wonder if he has a brain. It's always a moment of fun when he talks.
Overmore he insulted a supporter at the training ground one week ago.

I would never take a left back for more than 20m if we needed to fix other postions.

On the 3 or 4 times I have seen him in full games for lyon I have to say I haven't been that impressed.
His last game in the CL this season (forget the opponent) he looked very ordinary and out of sorts.
Of course ligue 1 followers on here know more but from my limited research 20 million sound way too much.
Compare to evra, clichy, baines, cole even enrique he does imo pale in comparison.

He's a quality left-back, I know for a fact he'd fit in nicely in the liverpool team, plus he's miles better than any other left-back we have atm.

Not saying he's not a quality player but I've never seen so much praise for him in any other place like in this forum, his name has been repeated so many times that it seems that even those who don't really follow him in a regular basis were made to believe he's the perfect left back...

Maybe it's got something to do with the CL? Lots of people don't follow Lyon's games but him and Lloris stood out brilliantly I thought when we played them and maybe we think of them higher?

I've seen him here and there and think he's a good choice for us. I'm unsure whether there is a better option for us then him to be honest.
