I don't care where we loan our players out. For me, it's all about whether they get loaned to teams that will play them. Happened to Dani Pacheco last season. He was loaned within a loan to a team with Michu in his position.

So as long as Morgan is playing regularly, I don't mind it.

Don't remind me of the Dani loan.
Everytime I remember that Michu played for Rayo I get:
      WHY YOU NO SIGN MICHU!!!!

      Ahem.
      Sorry.

You know what's funny about that? Pacheco was still our player. If we were keeping an eye on the team he was loaned to like we should have, we would have seen how good a player Michu is. Sometimes as a club we're just bass ackwards.

      That's exactly my point.
The club obviously didn't bother or we would have made a deal with Rayo for Michu/Pacheco.
Sometimes it's not the players you sign that show the club is missing a trick.

Baffled that he is going all the way down to League 2. The Championship is the standard we should have loaned him out too. Overall, I suppose he will get some valuable experience.

Strikes me as the beginning of the end for the lad.
Bearing in mind our current lack of a back up strike force he still can't force his way into the 1st team squad and now ends up at Rotherscum (chief rivals of my home town team)
Can't see him coming back IMHO.

      Strange decision.

I thought the lad had enough quality for a loan spell in the championship.

So he's going to Rotherham? Will be good for him to get some game time and hopefully a lot of goals. I don't fully expect to see him at Liverpool long term though. Good luck to him and hopefully he is better for the experience.

Better he plays for a winning League 2 side than a struggling Championship side for me.

A lot of people are seeing the move as a negative one but imo the stage of his career he's at the moves perfect for him. You put him in a Championship side and for me he gets a game here or half a game there. The ideal move is to go down to division one or two and get some hard game time into yr legs.

People may say but why Rotherham? Because the quality that Tony Stewarts brought into the squad puts them right up there as one of the best teams outside the top two leagues. He'll be playing in front of good crowds now they've moved back to Rotherham and into there new stadium and even more importantly he'll be starting in a team fighting for promotion not in a struggling Championship side.

Good luck to the lad and I think it's far too easy to say the lad won't make it at Anfield I for one hope he proves the doubters wrong.

He seems eager to get going on twitter.
Good attitude from the kid. Hope it works out for him.
He'll certainly get chances created for him.

      Good luck Morgan.

What? He's 18. And we have three senior strikers now with Sturridge coming in and Borini nearing fitness. He's going on loan so he can play competitive games (hopefully).

My guess is that there wans't much interest in the championship. A month or so at a lower league club might be good for him. Despite his success in youth football i'm not convinved he has the physical attributes to be a success long-term in the Premier League but it'll be interesting to see if he can make an impact further down.

Was just noseying through his twitter profile and found out that when The Justice Collection CD was on sale and there was a push to get it to number 1, he decided to not only buy 1 copy but 96 of them. May only be pocket money for him but the thought is what counts. Looked a lot to carry home too :D

Talking about series' does anybody no where I can watch hero to zero surely someone must no !!! @themichaelowen

Only just realised he was loaned to Rotherham from coming to this thread, but for me it is all about minutes (not sure how many he is getting like.) Worth bearing in mind that Adam Le Fondre was playing for these 2 seasons back though. Both for me will have similar careers.

Morgan reminds me of Mellor. Simply prolific at youth stage. Mellor even broke some Owen record i think? If Mellor manage to get some first team game time, Morgan deserves the benefit of the doubt.

It was a stunner for sure.  Think we must have the record for the most goals scored from the half way line by different players.

Alonso x 2, Suarez, Morgan.  Anyone know of anyone else?  I know Aldo was talking about doing it but not for us.
