None of them is mentioning the Caughtoffside site, but they do make a reference to the Barcelona based "El Mundo Deportivo" newspaper ...

I pretty much disregarded this rumor when I saw it was from caughtoffside.com, but it appears to be gaining some steam now.  I think this one would be great for us.  If we nab Affelay, we could get by with only Carrol, Kuyt and Suarez as our 1st team CF's because we would have the necessary pieces to play a very potent 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with a lone striker.  I think Affelay could turn us into real title contenders this season!  I really hope this one happens!!

I tend to agree corbally.

While I'm not against the signing of an older more experienced player to add to the squad if we can get someone like Afellay then it is in theory a much better signing in the long run.

Out of the two experienced players we have been linked with I'd also much prefer Bellamy to Benayoun anyway.

Think Afellay would come here, he needs game time to get into that Holland squad for Euro 2012.

Agreed. Kuyt and Suarez will help him settle I hope we make a bid before window shuts.
