Didn't work for Pennant, won't work for Barton. I'll see my arse if that lowlife ever wears a red shirt. Anyway we don't need to spend money on another CM; Gerrard, Meireles, Lucas, Spearing, and possibly Aquilani.

Think Pennant is just a bit thick whereas Barton is an evil little tw*t.

I do not want Joey Barton within 100yds of our club. I do hope that there is no truth to this story as I cannot stand this lad. He may have been a great asset to Andy Carroll during his days at Newcastle but his thuggish attitude and his past dealings both on and off the pitch is disgraceful. So no, I would be gutted to see someone like JB sign for our beloved club. Please do not sign this fellow....

In spite of comments like 'if Kenny thinks it's ok we'll grin and bear it' or words to that effect, there are going to be a good many people who cannot forgive or forget what Barton has been involved in.
Imagine that gobs***e with an LFC shirt on his back on matchday, not only would you have the wind up of say the  manUre shitheads but there would be a more than a few Liverpool accents in the chant. The pr**k is not one of us in fact it is difficult to imagine him fitting in anywhere but a leper colony.

Sorry but Barton has too much bad history to even be considered as a player for L.F.C.There would be too much disruption and discontent between our supporters if he ever puts on our shirt.Hopefully this is just media speculation and nothing comes of it.

Spot on Billy. Kenny Dalglish knows the score. OK, so maybe it's not all up to Kenny who we sign, but the new owners don't want to alienate the fans. No chance!!

Thought he was quite funny winding The Kop up with his corner kick placements, seemed to be in good humour to be fair.

He got nutmegged by Lucas! Says it all!!!

Thought his deliveries from set pieces were so poor yesterday but regardless of how he plays, I don't want him here.

Because Nolan, even though a scouser, is a yard dog.

Does a job for Newcastle, scores a few goals, but I would never want to see him in a red shirt.

No, not Barton, surely not. He has always been average on the pitch and discraceful off it. Not in a million years LFC quality

Plenty of other players out there, who come higher up the list than his sorry ass. Thanks but no thanks...

That was probably for Roy's own use.
