Liverpool on alert for Dortmund ace
Premier League target Nuri Sahin could be on his way out of Borussia Dortmund - sparking a fight among Chelsea and Liverpool for his signature.

TalkSPORT understands that Dortmund have lined up a replacement for the talented playmaker, who has been watched by Premier League scouts numerous times this season.

Nuremberg midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is on the verge of moving to Dortmund and sources at the club claim he's going there to replace Sahin.

Germany Under-21 international Gundogan, 20, is set for a £4m move to Dortmund this summer and that has plunged Sahin's future into doubt.

Turkey international Sahin, 22, is coveted by most of Europe and Chelsea have monitored him in the past, although Kenny Dalglish is eager to overhaul his squad this summer and has also targeted him.

If Adam's left boot is worth 10m, this guy's is worth 50m. Sublime player. Silky dribbler, great passer, lethal long shot and can score from dead pieces.

15m could do it and that'd be a great deal.

Pretty much sums up his main attributes there for 15m he would be a steal.

He is like a Modric but with the added quality to score from set pieces.

No chance Dortmund would let him go for just 15 million. Loads of the top teams are after him so unless we agreed a deal earlier, this will turn into a bidding war. Dortmund are going to be in the ECL next season so there is also the possibility he stays with them.

Probably had his head turned by Madrid's millions or something.

I love this lad, world class player. Would love him at Anfield. Truly fantastic midfielder and can only get better. I am not sure we can get him but I would love us to try. Would show that we mean business if we get this lad. My favorite player in Germany by far.

His passing ability is out of this world.

Having a natural left foot player in midfield who be very useful, especially one that can pass. I really want to see more of him before I can make a final judgement. His compilation videos are brilliant though. :)

25-30 million is good value for him. This lad is quality. He's a younger Xabi Alonso expect he has more goals in his game.

If he is available for transfer in the summer I do expect his value to go up and up and up and up. Most likely move to a champions league team, sadly. Have a gut feeling he's Madrid bound but meh, hope I'm wrong.

Yeah I saw that on Twitter. I doubt it's true given the price, but if so that is another ridiculously good piece of business, and really dumb by Dortmund.

Don't get why Sahin would want to go to Madrid. He'll be second choice to Alonso. He would be first choice for any premier league side.

In a couple years time he'll probably be sold for half the fee they paid for him, that's what happens to a lot Madrid's players (VDV, Sneijder, Robben).

Manchester United to pip Chelsea and Liverpool for Dortmund youngster

      http://footybunker.com/manchester-united-to-pip-chelsea-and-liverpool-for-dortmund-youngster/2745

News from Southern Germany has claimed that Manchester United are in a good position to pip Chelsea and Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder youngster Nuri Şahin.

The German born 22 year old has been high on the wish list for numerous Premiership clubs after seeing Şahin help Dortmund to the Bundesliga title. With Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United being the main parties showing an interest Dortmund have shown reluctance in selling any of their stars although with the Bundesliga club bringing in Nürnberg’s Gundogan in the summer, it is believed they will allow Şahin to depart for the right price.

With Manchester United in the mix, they are now one of two clubs who could possibly offer the youngster Champions League football and it is unlikely the midfielder will wish to play in the Europa League after reaching the greater European competition with Dortmund, something only Liverpool can offer should they keep hold of fifth place.

Nuri Şahin’s current value is around the £15m mark and it will be a two way battle between Chelsea and Manchester United as to who gets his signature although claims from Germany suggest Manchester would be the preferred choice.

      Nuri Sahin leaves Borussia Dortmund

      http://www.schwatzgelb.de/2011_05_09_short-news_nuri-sahin-leaves-borussia-dortmund.html

After many days of speculations, rumors, fear and hope, Borussia Dortmund and its supporters today faced the bitter truth: Nuri Sahin leaves BVB at the end of this season and will go on to play for Real Madrid where he signs a contract until June 2017. It was made offical today at a press conference in Westfalenstadion. The transfer fee is said to be around ten million Euros, Nuri leaves for a fee which is set in his contract with Borussia. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Sahin was fighting with his tears at the press conference. Borussia will see Sahin off before the match against Frankfurt on Saturday. Here is what Sahin and manager Michael Zorc said about the deal and the bitter decision which caused disappointment under many supporters of BVB:

Michael Zorc: We talked to Nuri several times to keep him in Dortmund on a long-time base. We did not succeed. All talks were made in a really good atmosphere. For Nuri, it was never about improving his contract with Borussia because a club outside of Germany is interested in signing him. Instead, it was about fulfilling a long-life dream. Without his exit clause, we probably would not have managed to extend his contract in 2009. Of course, we are disappointed, but everyone would start thinking when a club like Real Madrid is coming around. There is an exit clause in his contract which sets the transfer fee depending on if he is leaving inside or outsider Germany. Nuri is part of Borussia Dortmund since he is twelve years old and we will always be his football family, the door will always be open for him. He played a big part in our uprising and the winning of the championship. On Saturday, we want to see him off like he deservers it. Nuri will be hard to replace by another player, our style of play will change. The team will stay together. Only in this case, we could not do anything.

Nuri Sahin: Real Madrid is the biggest club of the world and I am proud to go this way. It is the biggest stage you can have as a footballer and the chance to my hoped for world career. That is the only reason why I am leaving Borussia. There were not many other clubs for which I would give away what I have here. The team is very close to my heart. It have been three big years with a team in which everyone was willing to give everything for his colleague and with a surrounding which maybe can not be repeated. I developed to a player who was the potential to make it at Real Madrid. I have signed a six-year contract there. It was a hard decision since I am Borusse, I love Dortmund and this club and I will always stay a Dortmunder. It made me proud to run into that stadium as a skipper. I want to thank everyone who accompanied me on my way. The hardest part for me was to explain the decision. I will miss Jürgen Klopp. Very much. The team, trainer and the persons in support are invited to the next Classico as well as Mr. Watzke and Mr. Rauball. It is not about the money. I would earn enough money if I stay fit anyway.

Absolute steal that for Madrid., took full advantage of his clause, something we should emulate.

I thought of that aswell. Alonso to Liverpool would soon sort that problem out ;)
I was thinking the same thing about Alonso coming back to us, because of that Nuri Sahin signing that got confirmed today. I don't only think Alonso will be leaving in the summer, I also reckon Kaka will too, but it's obvious he will go back to AC Milan. If them two don't leave, I will be very surprised, because Kaka and Alonso are very talented footballers and I can't see them on the bench most of the time next season.

I guess it can be locked now.

Not many players actually get better or achieve greater things by moving to Madrid.
