      He's currently co-manager at Leverkusen, so.. ;)

      Still not an assistant role!!

And I honestly didn't know they had co-managers at Leverkusen.

Sami Hyypia and Markus Babbel both had expressed interest in playing a role for LFC. Maybe we can hire both to be our defensive coaches. Could be a shot.

      I agree with Huyt

Sami is joint manager with Sasha Lewandowski.. Not his assistant, why would he take a step back to be assistant or defensive coach?

I'm sure he would walk over glass to come back, but as the No.1 I'd imagine

Imagine a backroom staff consisting of Carra, Stevie and Hyypia, now that would be a formidable trio to have by your side.

      Woah.

Apparently the big man wants the Liverpool job one day.

I would welcome him back with open arms. What a player.

Would like to see him involved now with the backroom staff tbh and come through the ranks.

Can't see him taking a step down to backroom level now, he's managing a Champions League team and one of the biggest in Germany. And he's doing a great job, well in Sami!

I would hazard a guess Sami was one of the most astute signings we have made in recent times, his partnership with Henchoz was one of the tightest the EPL has witnessed,
Then we had Agger, Carra with him, he is a living legend and deserves all the praise heading his way, it was a sad day when Carra retired, and just as sad when Sami went, I'd love it if he was involved with us sometime in the future,

Interestingly, he's easily our most qualified ex-player in recent times to take the manager's job at Anfield. Behind Munich and Dortmund, they are only one point behind the league leaders.

Here's hoping he continues his success.

It's a difficult one, do we want the scum to qualify? The good is that they'd have to rest key players meaning they could drop vital league points. The downside to it is that they would be more appealing in the Jan transfer window, and be within a shout, albeit it very slim, of a chance of winning the cl making it top three only qualify. However I don't expect United to win it, nor do I think they have the manager who knows how to kill off games.

      Therefore, RIP Manchester United
