Well I'm back at that place again, the one we all dread but know it'll happen at some time.

Dad very poorly in hospital, his kidneys more or less packed in due to serious dehydration and his blood pressure dangerously low.

He seems to be pulling through though we're a long way off him coming home but at least we've had a chuckle today as he's convinced Big Brothers watching him and they've got his spinal cord attached to the bed  ;D

I did the mercy dash from Yorkshire on Monday afternoon, thought I'd text Paul at work to let him know where I was but text the wrong number so he arrived home at half midnight to an empty house wondering where the hell I was  :-[

To top it off he had an accident at work last night and they've sent him home till Monday but I'm not due home till Friday night, so he's struggling one handed till I'm back :f_doh:

know how you feel mate Mum has been in hospital for 2 months with a broken leg and at 92 thats not fun.Add to that the C.diff Pneumonia and falls she has been through it. It never rains but it pours at times. Hope your Dad pulls through and is feeling a little better,

Just got back from visiting, things took a turn for the worse last night.

He's now on life support, 4 machines keeping him alive and we've given permission not to resuscitate if the case arrises.

Thanks again folks and when it rains it pisses down. I'm now at a different hospital with mum whose blood sugar levels are through the roof probably with all the stress of the week.

Dad passed away peacefully earlier this morning.  Mum, his wife for 62 years, myself and my niece, his eldest grandchild, were with him at the end.
