Stand by. Liverpool fan's originality in football chants is about to reach new depths.  My advice would be to not sing this song and hopefully it might get brushed under someone's carpet.

Exactly. Our originality has been shot dead. Simply copying a song from the previous players club. Just like everyone else in England does.  They can 1892 and Reclaim The Kop. But most of the people on there are still tools.

He began to get a song for him, and he will make all the Liverpool's fans in the stadium sing his song, that's what I believe, when I saw how much he was loved at Atletico Madrid. This song is not really bad! It's just a translation from Spanish right, I think he can bring with his luck from Atletico Madrid to Anfield. He can recognise It easily and he'll know how much Liverpool's fans love thier team and thier players. And then, I don't like when a player has too many song, when he perform great, we can't chose imediatly which song to sing for him. Steven Gerrard has only one song right? I like It, always, in the match with Aston Villa, then the match with Chelsea, You can recognise It immediatly, ans the plaer too, he know It's the song for him, his melody.

Apart from Carra (Team of Carraghers/He's scouse he's sound) I can't think of any other players in our side that have more than one song Chitose. That wasn't the point about the song anyway, Liverpool fans have always come up with original & funny songs, this one is just plain, boring & a rip off of songs sung all round the country. Personally I think if we came up with some words to replace the la la la's it wouldn't be too bad though.

Luis Garcia had a couple of songs.  Must admit the one that really is starting to grate on me these days is Riise's.

Especially as the one for Gerrard to the same tune circa 2001-2002 was much better

New club, new era and hopefully he'll be a new legend.
We owe it to ourselves to have something better than this rip off. Too cheesy and sounds like a chant from an all inclusive holiday at a Benidorm social club.

Nah! The words remind me too much of The Road To Amarillo!  And we wouldn't want that would we? 

I thought Micheal Owen and Robbie Fowler has a lot of songs too! (They are the 6th and the 7th king of the KOPs after the clip 100 best moments of the KOPS, Robbie Fowler has about 4 or 5 and Micheal Owen 3). And then Alonso has two (A-lon-so/Alonso, Alonso, Alonso_I don't know, I think It's kinda the same, repeating his name untill bored).
By the way, It's not bad! that lyrics, if we can find a way to fit It with the melody of Fernaldo Torres La-La-La, that would be great!

I like the Toreador one - won't catch on though - too 'unique'.

Both KK and the one Wilko posted are also fine, but agree with the main thrust of this thread.  The original one is woeful.  Probably started by wools.

A song needs to have originality the song needs to be so good that another club can't just replace the players name with someone of their own teams name, for example, " we got the best midfield in the world, we got Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Gerrard and Maschrano"

We need a decent song for him, catch like ours for Luis, "Luis Garcia, he drinks Sangria, he came from Barca to bring us joy, he's 5 foot 7, he's football heaven! So don't take our Luis Away!"
