Unless something amazing happens in the next 2 weeks, Man U will eventually overhaul our proud 18 league titles. Can't say they don't deserve it, but they've had some luck along the way. That's probably me being an LFC supporter, but there you go.

Just watched the Chelsea match, and the final whistle was painful. To see them all punching the air, you could see it was all about them getting number 19, and nothing at all with beating Chelsea. It was a performance fuelled by one thing and one thing only, knocking us off our perch.

One banner summed it up

Absolutley, totally, and utterly gutted. I've never in my life felt this bad concerning football. Not even 0-3 half time in Instanbul comes close - and that was bad.

No, today the reality hit me hard. I knew it was coming, but always thought something would trip them up. But seeing Ferguson and the players, there was knowing in their eyes. This wasn't a battle won, this was a war won.

Every single player who cares about the Liverbird on their chest should be made to watch the end of that game. It should hurt, and it should make them all think.

Deep down all the true Mancs know we are on our way back up and it's only a matter of time before we draw level again.

Indifferent to be honest.  At least we got a target to aim for now.

We shouldn't be overly saddened by the fact that they are about to overtake us in league titles 19 to 18. We still remain the biggest club in England, having won more trophies and as Kenny would put it, "We still have 5 European Cups".

They may overtake us next week but it took them 20 years and we won 18 league titles when players probably played for the crest on the shirt.

No matter what they win, they will never be us. They won't be more than just a football club - a family like us.

We'll just equal them next year and overtake them the year after

I beg to differ.It doest take 5 years for that mentality to grow...We will be atleast going for CL spot next season and then TITLE the next year hopefully

I do, however, see us reclaiming our perch sooner rather than later. Mr Henry with FSG have their work cut out in the summer, looking at the transfers we need, to strengthen the squad.

We'll deffo have to challenge for the title next season. That and the 4 spot should be on top of the list.

Not bothered. Liverpool has not won the League for two decades. We couldn't rely on other clubs forever. I would be concerned if the club was not in the midst of a rebirth. It's our perch. We're owning it. After this year United and every other club can get back to fearing the red army. In FSG and Kenny I Trust

No one here doesnt care but none of us on here have any control over it. Our club let us down badly off and on the filed terribly at times in the last 21 years.

Maybe now as a club we can refocus on becoming the most succesful club again. What good feeling suicidal over it does anybody I dont know?

12 months ago I would have been devastated, but not now. We're on the cusp of an exciting new era. Time at the top is running out for them however.
