I don't think he is any better than Ngog. He is 4 years older though. Why would Liverpool want to pay 9m and sell Ngog for 4m for somebody older.

Because he has shown what he is capable off and that is better then what Ngog has shown, i think people at Liverpool football club, fans included have lost patience with Ngog, this would be an ok signing as a sub but not too sure he would be keen on playing as a squad player.

Good player far better than Ngog.
But he won't be a starter when everyone's fit.

Off the bench? For me bring Bellamy back.

Wigan tell Liverpool: Rodallega is going nowhere

      Published 22:59 25/08/11
      By Alan Nixon

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez claims Liverpool have left it too late to sign striker Hugo Rodallega.

Kenny Dalglish had been linked with a last-minute raid for the Colombian, who has refused to extend his contract with Latics, but Martinez has now appeared to slam the door on any deal.

“We would not consider anything," he said. "You can’t replace players at this stage of the season.

“If a player is moving for big money they have to go earlier in the summer.

“We would not be in a position to replace him now. It is not possible.”

Rodallega, 26, can leave Wigan for nothing at the end of the season.

Reading that statement from Martinez, our one-year contract for Bellamy makes even more sense ...

Yeah I agree Bellamy is a superb little touch by our team, so many jobs he can do for the team makes him a great option on the bench. Much better option than Hugo.

I believe Hugo is better then Craig. But it doesnt really matter, does it? Both would be only back-up, and I think that Bellamy can do the job well enough whenever we might need him.

You didn't get what I was trying to say ... I see Bellamy as a stop-gap option, until Rodallega becomes available on Bosman next summer ... And no, Bellamy is not a much better option than Rodallega ...

Rodallega would be a much better signing then Bellamy but he will cost about 9 million

Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega faces three months out with knee injury

      Saturday, 17 September 2011 23:01 UK

Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega could be sidelined for up to three months with knee ligament damage.

Rodallega sustained the injury towards the end of Wigan's 3-1 Premier League defeat at Everton on Saturday.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez told the club's website: "Hugo has damaged the medial ligament in his right knee and it doesn't look good.

"He's been looking sharp and enjoying his football and it's the biggest negative to come out of the game."

The 26-year-old striker, who helped Colombia reach the Copa America quarter-finals in July, will have a scan on Sunday after being carried off on a stretcher in added time at Goodison Park.

Martinez added: "The scans will give us a final verdict in the week but, if it's a rupture of the ligament, we're looking at him being out for around nine to 12 weeks so we'll keep our fingers crossed and see if Hugo's body has reacted well to the injury or not."

:( They could be going down. Not sure who will score their goals.  Dos Santos has scored three deflected goals, his luck won't last forever.
