When was the last time we didn't qualify for European football.

We ended up today with the same number of points (58) that got Houllier fired in 2004, yet qualified us for the Champions League that we went on to win!

      Totally bizarre.

Major overhaul needed. At least 6-7  players needed of high qualiy Some really poor players in our team and squad. Big Big summer for FSG and the club

I really can't vote for a motm, all poor in 1 way or another.

I really can't moan about this result or the performance.

Just bring on next season. Although I struggle to see world class players arriving without any sort of European football, just being honest.

Do Birmingham still get Europa league football even though they got relegated.

at least ive got my rugby league (st.helens) to  see me through the summer.
not a great  result, but  we should and could have had 5 plus today. another day we would have got at least 3 of them.
seems obvious whos leaving in the summer, but more importantly will be interesting to  see who comes in.
as some one  pointed out, at  one stage this season, it could have been us today battling to stay in the premier league and not attempting to get  into  europe!!!
all in all considering how much has happened this season im not too disappointed.
next  season though is a different matter, I expect us to  be challenging and winning at least 1 trophy.

Yep. Our performances in those cups have been totally unacceptable the past few years. Semis and final at least for those two.

Also Birmingham are relegated - gutted for them...but thank f**k we don't have to go to St Andrews next season!

Yes obviously they won the cup but I was just wondering if they were able to play in the Europa league. Portsmouth last season qualified for the Europa league and they got relegated but didn't play in the Europa league.

Sometimes, it worries me that we don't seem to get the result when we need it most.

I think Pompy were ineligible due to the administration issues.

Yes, it's nothing to do with league position/status.

      Arsenal finish 4th.  Ouch!!!

Can't wait for next season, I'm sure our owners' vision will attract just as many players as the europa league would if not more.

That was to do with their registration/admin issues.

Millwall played in the comp even though they were in a lower league.

Is it ironic that West Brom finished on 47 points?  I think Paul Tomkins did a projection earlier in the season and said we would finish on 47 points.  Thank you Kenny for restoring our hope and passion for the second half of the season.

I'm a bit pissed off we didn't win today, looked like a fair few of them already had their flip flops and sunnies on.

At least we can go into the summer with some optimism for a change

Blackpool and Birmingham, two championship teams are both in the Europa league and the biggest club in England are not in Europe at all.

Thank F**k this season is over!
