Outstanding video.  Brings a tear to the eye every time I watch it.

Also won our first European Cup on the same date in 77.

Can't quite believe it was 6 years ago. Time flys!

I've never felt so good and been on such a high than on THAT night. That week infact! Neither before or since have I quite felt that feeling. I remember Radio City making a highlights montage thinggy with Heroe's by David Bowie and clips from the goals an that mixed in. Hair's on the back of the neck sorta stuff. The one and only time ive cried through sheer happiness.

Wish I had a friggin time machine...

Six years ago holy sh*t,dose not seem that long at all,

Was moving into my new house back then,Parked my truck sideways left my wife and sister to empty it and headed straight to the pub,oh what a night best night of my life,even looking at that video gives me goose bumps.

It may be Istanbul day to some, but for many others it is also Rome Day.

34 years since we landed our first European Cup!

One of the nights of my life also. Another shivers down the spine LFC moment, I get more shivers from watching that one match than any other.

Rafa looked like a bloody whipper snapper, another thing the yanks done is put a few extra years on him.

Can't believe it was 6 years ago. Time flies! Wish i was alive to have seen us lift our first one as well.

Hair still stands on my neck at the thought of that night. I have 2 children but have no problem saying that May 25th was the greatest moment of my life. The missus doesnt mind, dont worry

Amazing night, depressing to think we are now out of Europe altogether and Utd have been in 3 out of 4 CL finals.  With Kenny, we will return, we are on the road to glory once more, there will be plenty of nights like that in our future.

Just watching that video, it makes me wonder how anyone could be happy with not being in Europe at all.

Even though i was only 12 at the time i remember most of that night as well Keegan had a hell of a game , but had it not been for him heading for pastures new perhaps we might not have ended up with Kenny now that is a chilling thought.

Just a thought (and I'm relatively new here so this has probably been done to death) but if the ref spots the handball  by Nesta in the build up to Crespo's 1st goal and awards us a penalty, how does the game end up?

Love those pictures what a great night/morning of my life that was. Will never ever forget it, can't wait to experience it again so let's get our arses in gear next season and make sure we're in it the following season and forever.

It never gets boring or tiring watching things about Istanbul does it?

I watched the whole match again a couple of weeks ago because I've got it saved and my emotions we like it was a live match, moaning about bad decisions etc.

It will forever send shivers down my spine. Easily the best night of my life. I wish I had been a bit older so I really could have taken advantage of the celebrations but there will be plenty of time to do that next season when we win it again.

It's so strange - I was sitting in a room full of mancs, and at half time I turned to my bro and sis and said "It's not over yet"

I said it quietly, but with a strange confidence that they both commented on, but scoffed at.

After we had won, the room full of mancs gave us a standing ovation.

I had a text off my manc mate at half-time saying 'how silly d'you feel now?' At the tme I was fuming and swore I'd never speak to him again. I thought, 'I'd never do that to him - I'd understand the pain he'd be feeling'. But after the game I couldn't resist. I texted him and said, 'Actually, I don't feel that silly now we're the Champions of Europe. How silly do YOU feel?'

Two awesome nights that I'll never forget, they say the first time is always the best and in a way Rome 77 was....with all the chequered flags, the 'Joey Jones' flag, the balmy Rome night, it was just a wonderful experience, but Istanbul stands out as Liverpool's greatest ever night in the club's history.

One that will never be repeated......how good is it being a Liverpool fan eh lads

What a brilliant night!

I was in my local pub cheering on the reds! It came to half time and I was feeling low, my brother said to me "Well, we have just been taught a footballing lesson". I decided to sit with a gorgeous looking girl who I kind of knew through a friend. We got talking, then Liverpool scored! 3-1, I was stunned! We sat watching the games, 3-2! Oh my lord, can this be happening. I told this girl she was my lucky charm... BANG 3-3! I was jumping up and down as well I her. My mate had tears in his eye.

Penalty shootout, I was so nervous... And when we finally won I jumped about with my friends, family and this stranger girl who was my lucky charm! We celebrated for hours. I ended up asking the girl to come back to mine (why not, I was on a roll with my team just winning Champions League). She said ok! I was like SUPERB!

How did the story end... well... She ended up disappearing while I was celebrating with my friends... She went home with another lad I knew! And they ended up becoming a couple! Any other night I would have called him a theif! But on that night I was with a bigger bird, the LIVER BIRD! I couldn't have been prouder! YNWA, Best night of my life.

Remember struggling to get out of bed at 5am to watch all the pre-game stuff. The road to the final, the past greats of the tournament etc. I was so pumped. Then at half time i was almost in tears. Proper depressed and all like you'd imagine. Then when it got to 3-3, i F***ing went mental. Still got the scar on my head when i jumped and hit the corner pole of my bed. When Jerzy saved that final penalty, i don't think i'll ever feel like that again. It was truly the best moment ever.

Was watching highlights again last night. Still get nervous watching the penalty shoot out - and my spine still tingles at those incredible 6 minutes.

I remember spilling a lot of beer that night from all the jumping around the room. Best night of watching football I will ever have.
