Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is preparing an £8million bid for Chelsea winger Florent Malouda as he continues his search for a wide player.




The 30-year-old only has one year left on his contract, and it is unsure whether or not he will be offered a new one in 12 months time.

With Chelsea eyeing up several big signings themselves this summer, Malouda may become surplus to thei needs, and they may be willing to cash in on the French international before he can go on a free transfer next June.

Malouda has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Chelsea this year, but Dalglish is adamant that the winger would be an excellent addition to the Liverpool squad.

The Liverpool boss will also be keen to get his hands on Malouda sooner rather than later, as his first preferences of Ashley Young, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata now all appear to be out of reach for the Reds.

Why exactly is Mata out of reach, Malouda is 30 does not go against the FSG transfer policy

Wanted this lad here before he joined Chelsea a few years ago but not now, IMO he's not going to be the future, not exactly enjoying his best form currently and would probably demand high wages, and with Mata still available i would pay a lot more than 18.5 mil quoted for Henderson to get him here.

Think he would be decent to have in the squad but I don't think this is anything more than paper talk as I don't see NESV wanting a 30 year old who would demand very high wages.

Ok Ill wait to see the reaction to spending 8 million on a 30 year old not going to get any better.

I wouldn't pay £8m for him Brian, but do think he would be good as a sub, if we're struggling to break a team down, he might make the difference.

Having said that I'd much rather have some of the others players we've been already been linked too, who could also do that, and are much younger and have time to get even better.

A really good player, we should have bought him 3 years ago when we were really interested. Not now though.

Wouldn't ever want to see this tw*t in a Liverpool shirt, especially after his antics in his first season at Chelsea that led to them getting a penalty against us.

Malouda is a good player....but he is not that fast for me  to play on the wing  ...why don't we try to get a winger who is even better than him.

Not at 30. Like him as a player and think he should be a starter every week for them but 8m for a 30 year old on big wages isn't sense.
