Do any other players have this disease? Malouda, Robben, Drogba and Andy Johnson are a few of many!

Thanks for making my blood boil. I couldn't even watch the whole video. I don't know how anyone hasn't twatted Ronaldo at this stage. If any of us fell over like that while playing footie on the street we would been laughed out of it.

      HAHAHA. The end is hilarious..

I think johnson doesn't dive so much as set it up so the defender can do nothing but foul him. It's not diviing to me.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but as much as I dislike dislike, the argument the "continentals" give is that it is only as bad as making a tactical foul, which is so often stated as being "clever" by pundits and the like over here. In the same way, diving is seen elsewhere in europe and in south america as being exactly that, clever. Its quite hypocritical of us to take issue with one form of cheating, while praising the other. I'm not a fan of either, and there is something degrading about both, but to an extent both are excepted in one footballing culture and slated in the other.

Yeah but there is no acting or fooling the referee with a tactical foul. Tactical fouls are "honest" if you know what I mean. You stick your leg out and trip someone. Everyone can see it and knows why you did it. You usually get punished.

Good to see Arjen Robben's moved to a new club and has decided to change his ways.

Now that he has left Chelsea I find his diving comical and amusing.

Whereas before I found it sickening and distasteful.

      Funny that.

Didas dive against Celtic on Wednesday was rediculous.  I think the official line is that he was subbed through embaressment.  Because of the way he went down my initial though was that the fan had cut him or something.  To manage to look like more of a tw*t than the fan that did it was quite remarkable.

I think that most soccer players while running will fall if touched lightly, people milk the frees too much though, but sometimes not milking it doesn't get you a free. Diving can sometimes be important in a game, but like Dida, oh and how about Saha, they both have late reaction diseases, that just ruins the game

The words "smooth entry" come to mind ;)

Whatever happened to that thread? Or is that on a need-to-know basis?
