I noticed that since the update, all old messages have re-appeared in my inbox even though I clear it now and then. Not good.

I hate it, Facebook are trying to become less private then ever, they tried having a recent updates tab where you could see what all your friends were doing on your homepage, eg what they commented on, what photo they just liked, thank god it didn't update for everyone, think it was a temporarily trial.

Wait until the newer Facebook comes out in the next week or so.  Looks like a privacy nightmare.

Can see loads of people who are already sitting on the fence with it binning it off.

How do you start removing the like application on things you receive updates from.
Starting to trim this down and most likely will just go to Google + and let Facebook go the way of Bebo.

Updates on the wall or on your email id?

For the wall(or the default page you get when you log on), just scroll over to the story, you'll get an arrow on the right side of the coloumn, click it, you'll get an option of "hide all posts from ....." click on that and its done.

For your email id updates, go to "Account Settings"->Notifications and then deselect whichever app/page updates you want to disable.

That should be it. If it doesn't solve the problem still, let me know. :)

Haven't heard about this. I seem to be using Facebook less and less so if this is the case then yeah, I could well just take my profile down.

Saw a program yesterday that shows even when you delete your photos Facebook keeps all your photos.

I've found a similar problem with messages. Several times in the past I've 'deleted' everything from my inbox but when they applied an update not long ago, every single message I'd ever received or sent popped back up again! Apparently they just get 'archived'. Well I don't want them to be F***ing archived I want them gone!

      Bogus alright.
      Why are they being archived.
Who wants to track our profiles so much that everything is kept on file.
      Sponsors dream probably.

Just send them a message telling them to get rid of all your info...data protection act covers you!

Not sure if that applies in the States mind...

Has anyone got the timeline yet? It's out on November 9th, but if you sign up as a developer and create an app for them, you can get it early.

      Totally different profile layout.

Every week now a new version seems to pop up.
Never mind that my mobile version stopped working for days during the last update.
Getting fed up with it now.

I'll try throw up a screenshot in a minute. No doubt it'll get lots of complaints. One thing I love above it tho, and always wanted implemented into Facebook some how is to see all your total history, you can search back to when you created the account and every wallpost, status...etc
